Joaquín Novillo
Joaquín Ariel Novillo (born 19 February 1998) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Chilean Primera División club Deportes Iquique. Club career Novillo played for Belgrano at youth level, notably being selected as part of their squad for the 2016 Torneo di Viareggio in Italy. He was moved by Diego Osella into his senior squad after the 2018–19 Primera División's mid-season break, subsequently appearing for his senior bow in a goalless draw in the league with Unión Santa Fe on 27 January 2019; he participated in the full ninety minutes, picking up a yellow card in the process. Once returning from a loan spell at Racing Club in 2021, Novillo was sent out on loan once again in January 2022, this time to Colón until the end of the year. The CONMEBOL Libertadores, also known as Copa Libertadores de América (), is an annual continental club football competition organized by CONMEBOL since 1960. It is the highest level of competition in South American club football. Primera Nacional (usually called simply Nacional B, (English "National B Division"), and known as Primera B Nacional until the 2019–20 season) is the second division of the Argentine football league system. The competition is made up of 38 teams. It is played by teams from all over the country. Clubs from Buenos Aires surroundings, as well as some from Santa Fe Province, are promoted from or relegated to the Primera B Metropolitana ("Metropolitan B Division") while for teams from the other provinces the Torneo Federal A ("Federal A Tournament") is the next level down. The 2019–20 Argentine Primera B Nacional, also known as the 2019–20 Primera Nacional, was the 35th season of the Primera B Nacional, the second tier of Argentine football. The season began on 15 August 2019 and was scheduled to end in May 2020. Thirty-two teams compete in the league, twenty-one returning from the 2018–19 season, four teams that were relegated from Primera División, two teams promoted from Federal A and five from B Metropolitana. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Argentine Football Association suspended the tournament on 17 March 2020.
