Joanne Ward
Joanne Ward (born 22 June 1975) is a British former tennis player. She competed in five Wimbledon Championships between 1994 and 2000, losing each time in the first round, and has represented the Great Britain Fed Cup team. She was for a time the British number two. Career Aged 16, Ward was told she would never play tennis again, after two knee operations. In 1994, she won the UK Tennis National Championships, beating British number one Clare Wood in the semifinals. In the same year, she made her debut at the Wimbledon Championships, losing in the first round to Dominique Monami. She also competed at Wimbledon in 1996, 1998 and 2000, losing first-round matches to Claire Taylor, Karen Cross and Anke Huber respectively. WTA Tour
The WTA Tour is a worldwide top-tier tennis tour for women organized by the Women's Tennis Association. The second-tier tour is the WTA 125K series, and third-tier is the ITF Women's Circuit. Lee-on-the-Solent, often referred to as Lee-on-Solent, is a seaside district of the Borough of Gosport in Hampshire, England, about five miles (8 km) west of Portsmouth. Ilkley is a spa town and civil parish in the City of Bradford in West Yorkshire, in Northern England. Linda Niemantsverdriet (born 10 December 1974) is a Dutch former professional tennis player. Niemantsverdriet, who at the age of 15 became the youngest Dutchwoman to win the senior national title, was a member of her country's World Youth Cup winning team in 1990. Maaike Koutstaal (born 20 June 1975) is a former professional tennis player from the Netherlands. Biography Born in Rotterdam, Koutstaal competed on the ITF junior circuit in the early 1990s and most notably was runner-up in the girls' doubles at the 1993 French Open. As a professional player she was most successful in the doubles format, with a best ranking of 86 in the world.
