Joanna Evans (swimmer)
Joanna Evans (born 25 July 1997) is a Bahamian competitive swimmer who specializes in freestyle. She qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in the 200, 400, and 800 meter freestyle events. In the 200 and 400 meter, she set new national records. Evans studied Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. In 2014, she was named Bahamas Junior Swimmer of the Year. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in the 200m freestyle and 400m freestyle. She did not progress past the heats in either event. Evans is currently serving a four-year competition ban set to expire in February 2026 for an anti-rule doping violation after testing positive for clostebol. Freestyle is a category of Swimming (sport), swimming competition, defined by the rules of World Aquatics, in which competitors are subject to only a few limited restrictions on their swimming stroke. Devynne Charlton
Devynne Ashtyn Charlton (born 26 November 1995) is a Bahamian athlete competing in the 60 meters hurdles and 100 m hurdles. Athletics career Charlton represented her country at the 2015 and 2017 World Athletics Championships, where she was eliminated in the heats and semifinals, respectively. She represented the Bahamas at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, finishing sixth in the 100 m hurdles event. Charlton won the silver medal in the event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. She took silver for the 60 m hurdles at the 2022 World Indoor Championships, setting a national record of 7.81 seconds. Donald Thomas (born 1 July 1984) is a Bahamian high jumper from Freeport, Bahamas. Biography Thomas initially played basketball at Bishop Michael Eldon School in Freeport, Bahamas, before taking up high jump in January 2006 while studying at Lindenwood University in Saint Charles, Missouri, where he played on the university's basketball team. He tried high jump for the first time when challenged by members of the track and field team, who were reacting to his claims about his ability to slam dunk. Clostebol (; also known as 4-chlorotestosterone) is a synthetic anabolic–androgenic steroid (AAS). Clostebol is the 4- chloro derivative of the natural hormone testosterone. The chlorination prevents conversion to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) while also rendering the chemical incapable of conversion to estrogen. Although usually used as an ester including clostebol acetate (Macrobin, Steranabol, Alfa-Trofodermin, Megagrisevit), clostebol caproate (Macrobin-Depot), or clostebol propionate (Yonchlon), unmodified/non-esterified clostebol is also reported to be marketed, under the brand name Trofodermin-S in Mexico.
