Joan Bray
Joan Bray (born September 16, 1945) is a former teacher, journalist, and union leader. She was a Democratic member of both the Missouri House of Representatives (1993–2002) and Missouri State Senate (2003–2010). She resides with her husband, Carl Hoagland, in St. Louis, Missouri. She has two children, Noel and Kolby. Bray was born in Lubbock, Texas, and graduated from Southwestern University with a B.A. in English, and from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a C.A.G.S. She was a teacher in Colorado and Massachusetts. She has also was a journalist with the ''San Antonio Express-News'' and ''St. Louis Post-Dispatch'', during which time she served as vice-president of the Newspaper Guild's Local 49. John Lamping
John T. Lamping (born October 19, 1962) is an American politician and securities broker from the state of Missouri. A Republican, he served in the Missouri Senate, representing the 24th district from 2011 to 2015. Personal history John Lamping was born and raised in southern St. Louis County, Missouri. Following graduation from St. Louis University High School, he attended Princeton University, where he earned a degree in Economics in 1985. Lamping worked as a currency trader in New York City and later earned his MBA from NYU. When not involved with his duties in the General Assembly, he works for St. Louis securities brokerage firm. He and his wife Caryn (whom he met while in New York City) are the parents of six children.
