Joachim Stroink
Joachim Stroink (born April 24, 1972) is a Canadian politician, who was elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly in the 2013 provincial election. A member of the Nova Scotia Liberal Party, he represented the electoral district of Halifax Chebucto until 2017. Personal life Stroink is married to April Barkhouse-Stroink, they live in Halifax with their children Anneke and Zofia. He is a lifelong resident of Halifax. Stroink attended LeMarchant-St. Thomas Elementary School and Halifax Central Junior High (then named Cornwallis Junior High School). He attended Queen Elizabeth High School (Halifax) and King's-Edgehill School. He graduated from Saint Mary's University in 1999 with a degree in Geography. He is an avid outdoorsman enjoying cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, camping, climbing and various other activities. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterised by excessive amounts of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity that are pervasive, impairing in multiple contexts, and otherwise age-inappropriate. ADHD symptoms arise from executive dysfunction, and emotional dysregulation is often considered a core symptom. In children, problems paying attention may result in poor school performance. ADHD is associated with other neurodevelopmental and mental disorders as well as some non-psychiatric disorders, which can cause additional impairment, especially in modern society. Zachariah Churchill (born May 25, 1984) is a Canadian politician from Nova Scotia. He serves as the member of the Nova Scotia House of Assembly for Yarmouth, first elected in 2010. Early life and education Churchill graduated from Saint Mary's University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He served as National Director of the Canadian Alliance of Student Associations from 2007 to 2009, representing student organizations across Canada. Stephen McNeil
Stephen McNeil (born November 10, 1964) is a Canadian politician who served as the 28th premier of Nova Scotia, from 2013 to 2021. He also represented the riding of Annapolis in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly from 2003 to 2021 and was the leader of the Nova Scotia Liberal Party from 2007 to 2021. Early life McNeil was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the 12th of 17 children. His mother, Theresa McNeil, was the first female high sheriff in Canada and is a recipient of the Order of Nova Scotia. McNeil attended the Nova Scotia Community College, and owned a small business for 15 years between 1988 and 2003. Political career McNeil first sought election in 1999 but was defeated. Halifax Harbour
Halifax Harbour is a large natural harbour on the Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia, Canada, located in the Halifax Regional Municipality. Halifax largely owes its existence to the harbour, being one of the largest and deepest ice-free natural harbours in the world. Before Confederation it was one of the most important commercial ports on the Atlantic seaboard. In 1917, it was the site of the world's largest man-made accidental explosion, when the blew up in the Halifax Explosion of December 6.
