JoAnne Graf
JoAnne Graf is an American former softball coach and Associate Professor in Sport Management at Florida State University. As coach of the Florida State Seminoles women's softball team from 1979 to 2008, she logged more wins than any coach in the history of NCAA Division I softball. On April 2, 2005, Florida State University renamed their softball stadium in her honor as the JoAnne Graf Field at the Seminole Softball Complex. Education Graf earned her Bachelor degree from Florida State University (FSU) in 1975. While earning her master's degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1978, she spent two years as the assistant softball coach for the Greensboro Spartans. The UNC Greensboro Spartans are the athletic teams that represent the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in Greensboro, North Carolina. They compete in the Southern Conference in all sports. The Florida State Seminoles women's softball team represents Florida State University (variously Florida State or FSU) in the sport of softball. Florida State competes in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) and the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). In the forty-six year history of the Seminoles softball program, the team has won eighteen ACC championships, two AIAW slow-pitch national championships, and one NCAA championship. JoAnne Graf Field at the Seminole Softball Complex is the home field for the Florida State Seminoles softball team: it is on the campus of Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. History The Florida State Soccer/Softball Complex opened in 1999. On April 2, 2005, former university president Dr. T.K. Wetherell and former Athletics Director, Dave Hart, officially renamed the softball stadium "JoAnne Graf Field at the Seminole Softball Complex" in honor of JoAnne Graf.
