JoAnn Jayne
JoAnn Jayne is an American and Navajo politician and attorney who is currently the Chief Justice of the Navajo Nation, a position she has held since 2018. She previously served as a Democratic member of the Montana House of Representatives from 2001 to 2009. She served as Justice of the Peace in Lake and Sanders County, Montana counties from 2012 to 2014. The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of the Flathead Reservation ( Montana Salish: Séliš u Ql̓ispé, Kutenai: k̓upawiȼq̓nuk) are a federally recognized tribe in the U.S. state of Montana. The government includes members of several Bitterroot Salish, Kootenai and Pend d'Oreilles tribes and is centered on the Flathead Indian Reservation.
