Jiří Novák (cyclisme)
Jiří Novák (; born 22 March 1975) is a Czech former professional tennis player. He was born in Zlín, Czechoslovakia but resides nowadays in Monte Carlo, Monaco. Career Novák turned professional in 1993 and won seven singles and 18 doubles titles during his career, winning $7,614,063 in prize money. For six years, he was the highest-ranked male Czech tennis player in the ATP rankings. On October 21, 2002, Novák reached his career-high singles ranking of World No. 5. He retired in 2007. Novák was the first player to face Roger Federer at Wimbledon. In this first-round match at the 1999 tournament, Novák defeated Federer in five sets. Novák created a tennis school in the Czech Republic and one of his students was the fourteen year old Preet Chandi before she went on to be an adventurer. Monte Carlo
Monte Carlo (; ; french: Monte-Carlo , or colloquially ''Monte-Carl'' ; lij, Munte Carlu ; ) is officially an administrative area of the Principality of Monaco, specifically the ward of Monte Carlo/Spélugues, where the Monte Carlo Casino is located. Donald Johnson
Donald James "Don" Johnson (born September 9, 1968) is an American former professional tennis player who reached the World No. 1 doubles ranking in 2002. Although born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, he was raised and learned the sport of tennis in the Pittsburgh suburb of Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Johnson attended Fairview High School in Erie, Pennsylvania, and won the PIAA State Singles Championship in 1984. During his career, he won the Wimbledon men's doubles title in 2001 (partnering Jared Palmer), and the Wimbledon mixed doubles title in 2000 (partnering Kimberly Po). David Rikl
David Rikl (born 27 February 1971) is a former professional tennis player from the Czech Republic. His success came mostly in doubles, winning 30 titles and finishing runner-up at the 2004 US Open and 2001 Wimbledon Championships Men's Doubles. He also achieved a singles ranking as high as World No. 41 on 2 May 1994. Harpreet Kaur Chandi (born 1988/1989) is a British physiotherapist and British Army medical officer who completed a solo expedition across Antarctica to the South Pole, finishing on 3 January 2022. She was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2022 Birthday Honours. Life Chandi was born in Derby in 1988/1989 (32-years-old in November 2021). When she was aged 14 she was keen on tennis and left for a tennis school in Surrey; at the age of 16, she was in the Czech Republic, where Jiri Novak ran a tennis school. The mixed doubles of the 2002 Australian Open was held for the 58th time since the first tournament back in 1922. Heading into the tournament, Corina Morariu and Ellis Ferreira were the defending champions, but could not defend their title. While Morariu did not compete this year, Ferreira partnered with Cara Black and lost in the first Round to Rita Grande and Jeff Tarango in three sets.
