Jiu Jitsu (film)
''Jiu Jitsu'' is a 2020 American science fiction martial arts film directed by Dimitri Logothetis, who co-wrote the screenplay with James McGrath. It is based on the 2017 comic book of the same name by Logothetis and McGrath. It stars Alain Moussi, Frank Grillo, JuJu Chan, Tony Jaa and Nicolas Cage. It was a box office bomb, grossing less than $100,000 against a budget of $25 million, and was critically panned. Plot Every six years in the last two millennia, an ancient order of superhuman martial artists called Jiu Jitsu faces a vicious race of alien invaders in a battle for Earth. Dimitri Logothetis
Dimitri Logothetis is a filmmaker and actor. Early life Logothetis was born in Athens, the son of Anna and Euthymios Logothetis. His father had previously lived with family in Los Angeles, where he became an American citizen and worked as a mechanic for eight years before returning to Athens. When Logothetis was six years old, he moved with his parents to Los Angeles; he attended Beverly Hills Unified School District, Beverly Vista Grammar School and Lawndale High School, where he played High school football, football and ran Track and field, track, before moving on to Loyola Marymount University. The site was founded in 1998 by Brandon Gray, and was bought in 2008 by IMDb, which itself is owned by Amazon. Eddie Steeples (born November 25, 1973) is an American actor known for his roles as the "Rubberband Man" in an advertising campaign for OfficeMax, Cal in '' Would You Rather'', as Darnell Turner on the NBC sitcom ''My Name Is Earl,'' and Eddie on '' The Guest Book''. Rigan Machado (born 2 July 1966) is a Brazilian-American martial arts instructor. He is an 8th degree red and White belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, earning his rank under Carlos Gracie Jr. He is a former Pan American Champion (1996, 1997 weight and absolute) and a veteran medalist of the ADCC.
