Jimmy Ma
Jimmy Ma (born October 11, 1995) is an American figure skater. He is the 2025 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships, 2025 Four Continents bronze medalist, 2021 CS Golden Spin of Zagreb, 2021 Golden Spin of Zagreb bronze medalist, the 2018 CS U.S. International Figure Skating Classic, 2018 U.S. International Figure Skating Classic bronze medalist, the Philadelphia Summer International silver medalist, and the 2021 Cranberry Cup International, Cranberry International silver medalist. Ma has competed in nine senior U.S. Figure Skating Championships, U.S. national championships, achieving his highest result, fifth, in 2023 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, 2023. 2018 Skate America
The 2018 Skate America was the first event of six in the 2018–19 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition series. Peter Cain (figure Skater)
Peter Christian Cain (born 20 November 1958) is an Australian pair skater who currently works as a coach. With sister Elizabeth Cain, he is the 1976 World Junior bronze medalist and a four-time Australian national champion. Their highest placement at the World Championships was 12th in 1977. They competed in the 1980 Winter Olympics, finishing eleventh. He is the uncle and former coach of Australian national champion Sean Carlow and father of American skater Ashley Cain. His former students include Alexei Krasnozhon and Brooklee Han. Yaroslav Paniot
Yaroslav Vadymovych Paniot (, born 26 December 1997) is a Ukrainian-American figure skater who competes for the United States. He is the 2021 U.S. national pewter medalist. Representing Ukraine, he is the 2017 CS Tallinn Trophy bronze medalist, the 2017 Philadelphia International silver medalist, and a two-time Ukrainian national champion (2014, 2017). He has reached the free skate at four ISU Championships and qualified a spot for Ukraine at the 2018 Winter Olympics, where he finished 30th. He last competed for Ukraine in November 2018. Career Early career Paniot began skating in 2003. In his early years, he was taught by Yuriy Sukholentsev and Oleksandr Zelensky in Ukraine. 2021 CS Asian Open Figure Skating Trophy
The 2021 Asian Open Figure Skating Trophy was held on October 13–17, 2021, in Beijing, China. It was intended to be a 2021–22 ISU Challenger Series event. However, as only the men's and women's singles events featured international participants and the total number of ISU member nations represented at the event totalled nine, it did not meet the necessary criteria to qualify for Challenger Series status. Medals were awarded in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. In January 2021, the International Skating Union announced that the 2021 Asian Open Trophy would replace the 2020–21 Grand Prix Final as the designated international test event for the 2022 Winter Olympics. 2020 Skate America
The 2020 Guaranteed Rate Skate America was the first event in the 2020–21 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition series. It was held at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 23–24. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, a large number of modifications were made to the Grand Prix structure. The competitors consisted only of skaters from the home country, skaters already training in the host nation, and skaters assigned to that event for geographic reasons. On September 25, 2020, U.S. Figure Skating announced that Skate America would be held without spectators present, in line with Nevada Gaming Control Board guidelines regarding the pandemic.
