Jimmy Hanley
Jimmy Hanley (22 October 1918 – 13 January 1970) was an English actor who appeared in the popular Huggetts film series, and in ITV's most popular advertising magazine programme, ''Jim's Inn'', from 1957 to 1963. Early life Born in Norwich, Norfolk, Hanley began his career as a child actor before becoming popular in juvenile roles. He was groomed by the Rank Studio system during his teenage years and earned film stardom as a "boy-next-door" type. The young actor attended the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts and whilst he was studying there, made his stage debut at age 12 at the London Palladium, as John Darling in ''Peter Pan''. He began to make films in his teens. Career During the Second World War he served as an officer with the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, and in a commando raid in Norway he was wounded in the leg and was invalided out of the service. ''Henry V'' is a 1944 British Technicolor epic film adaptation of William Shakespeare's Henry V (play), play of the same title. The on-screen title is ''The Chronicle History of King Henry the Fifth with His Battell Fought at Agincourt in France'' (derived from the title of the 1600 Folios and Quartos (Shakespeare), quarto edition of the play, though changing the spelling from "Agin Court"). It stars Laurence Olivier, who also directed. The play was adapted for the screen by Olivier, Dallas Bower, and Alan Dent. The score is by William Walton. ''Brown on Resolution'' (US title: ''Born for Glory''; UK re-issue title: ''Forever England'') is a 1935 film adaptation of the 1929 C. S. Forester novel ''Brown on Resolution'', with John Mills in his first lead role playing the title role. The film is also notable for being the first film to use actual Royal Navy ships. The plot is centred on the illegitimate son of a British naval officer helping to bring about the downfall of a German cruiser during World War I. The novel was also later adapted as ''Sailor of the King'' (also titled ''Single-Handed'' in the US, and sometimes – though rarely – ''Brown on Resolution''), in 1953. ''Boys Will Be Boys'' is a 1935 British comedy film directed by William Beaudine which stars Will Hay, Gordon Harker and Jimmy Hanley. Pancreatic cancer arises when cells in the pancreas, a glandular organ behind the stomach, begin to multiply out of control and form a mass. These cancerous cells have the ability to invade other parts of the body. A number of types of pancreatic cancer are known.
