DZBB-AM
DZBB (pronounced DZ-double-B; 594 AM) Super Radyo is a radio station owned and operated by GMA Network. It serves as the flagship station of the Super Radyo network and one of the assets of RGMA Network. The station's studio is located at the 3rd floor of GMA Network Studio Annex, GMA Network Complex, in Quezon City, while its transmitter is located along Camia St., Brgy. Panghulo, Obando, Bulacan. Cable company Spectrum broadcasts the audio of DZBB along with that of Barangay LS 97.1 to the United States as part of its "Filipino Channels" package History 1950–1989: Dobol B DZBB marked its inaugural broadcast, as the station's static marred signal was wafted on the air for the first time on March 1, 1950, by Robert "Uncle Bob" Stewart, in a small office space in Calvo Building, Escolta, Manila, with mostly second-hand equipment and an old, surplus radio transmitter. ''Compañero y Compañera'' () is a Philippine television public affairs talk show broadcast by ABS-CBN, GMA Network and Radio Philippines Network. It run from 1997 to 2001. Airing History As a radio program DZMM (1994-1997) On June 24, 1994, Renato Cayetano, a lawyer and senior partner of the Ponce-Enrile, Cayetano, Bautista, Reyes law firm, often known as PECABAR, started hosting a regular segment for ''Relos Reports'', a program hosted by Gel Santos-Relos on DZMM. This is when the idea for ''Compañero y Compañera'' was born. Cayetano and Relos spoke about the legal issues of the week's top news. Cayetano's appearance as a guest on the show also opened the stage for what would become one of his most enduring contributions: providing free legal assistance to listeners in need of information and guidance. The show transferred to BBC in September 1984. It returned to GMA Network in April 1986. The show concluded on September 1, 1996. It was replaced by ''Anna Karenina'' in its timeslot. The anthology evolved into a television drama anthology from a daily counseling program on radio with the same title, originally aired on GMA's AM station DZBB.
