Jim Rock
Jim Rock (born 12 March 1972) is an Irish former professional boxer who competed from 1995 to 2009. He is the only boxer to have held the Boxing Union of Ireland, Irish title at four different weights divisions: light-middleweight, middleweight, super-middleweight and light-heavyweight. Background Family Rock was born into a large family in the Blanchardstown area of west Dublin. Rock is a cousin of former Irish welterweight champion Robbie Murray (boxer), Robbie Murray. Merdud Takalobighashi (born 23 September 1975 in Tehran, Iran) (), more commonly known as Merdud Takaloo or Takaloo, is an Iranian born British based boxer. He is the older brother to the rapper Mic Righteous. Early life Takaloo was born in 1975 in Tehran, Iran. His family later fled the country in the late 1970s after the overthrow of the Shah. Eamonn Magee (born 13 July 1971 in Belfast, Northern Ireland) is a retired WBU World Welterweight Boxing Champion who competed from 1995 to 2007 in the professional arena. He fought for and won the WBU World title in December 2003. He also held the Commonwealth Light-Welterweight title twice, and challenged for the European Light-Welterweight and British Welterweight titles. Stephen Collins (born 21 July 1964) is an Irish former professional boxer who competed from 1986 to 1997. Known as the Celtic Warrior, Collins is the most successful male Irish boxer in recent professional boxing history, having held the WBO middleweight and super-middleweight titles simultaneously and never losing a fight as champion. The Point Theatre (sometimes referred to as the Point Depot or simply as the Point) was a concert and events venue in Dublin, Ireland, that operated from 1988 to 2007, visited by in excess of 2 million people. It was located on the North Wall Quay of the River Liffey, amongst the Dublin Docklands. During its lifespan, the venue had a seated capacity of 6,300 or 8,500 standing. Amateur boxing is the variant of boxing practiced in clubs and associations around the world, at the Olympic Games, Pan American Games and Commonwealth Games, as well as at the varsity sports, collegiate level.
