Jim Les
James Alan Les (born August 18, 1963) is an American basketball coach and former player who is the head coach of the UC Davis Aggies men's team. A former point guard, Les played seven seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA) after his college career at Bradley University. In 2011, he was hired as the head coach of the UC Davis Aggies men's basketball team. College career Les began his collegiate basketball career playing at Cleveland State University, but transferred after the 1981–82 season to Bradley. The Provident Credit Union Event Center, formerly and more commonly known as the Event Center Arena, is a complex consisting of an indoor arena and a fitness club on the main campus of San Jose State University, San José State University in downtown San Jose, California. Omaha Racers
The Omaha Racers were an American minor league basketball team based in Omaha, Nebraska. The franchise played in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) from 1989 to 1997. The team's franchise linage started in 1982 as the Wisconsin Flyers. The franchise spent two seasons in Rochester, Minnesota before relocating to Omaha in 1989 to become the Racers. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the Basketball positions, five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position and is usually the shortest player on the court. Point guards are expected to control the pace of the game. They effectively "run" the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. The 2017 Big West Conference men's basketball tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the Big West Conference. The tournament took place March 9–11, 2017 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. The tournament winner, UC Davis, received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament with a 50–47 win over UC Irvine in the final. Missouri Valley Conference Men's Basketball Player Of The Year
The Larry Bird Missouri Valley Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year is an annual award given to the Missouri Valley Conference's most outstanding player. The award was first given following the 1968–69 season.
