James Benner Jackson (November 28, 1877 – October 9, 1955) was a Major League Baseball outfielder. He played for the Baltimore Orioles, the New York Giants, and the Cleveland Naps (now known as the Cleveland Guardians) during the early 1900s. In three hundred and forty-eight career games, he had a .235 batting average with three hundred hits in 1,274 at-bats. He was right-handed. James Arthur Jackson (born October 14, 1970) is an American former professional basketball player. Over his 14 National Basketball Association (NBA) seasons, Jackson was on the active roster of 12 different teams, which was an NBA record shared with Joe Smith, Tony Massenburg, Chucky Brown, and Ish Smith; until Ish played with the Denver Nuggets, his 13th team, in the 2022–23 season. He is currently a basketball analyst for Fox Sports, Turner Sports and the Los Angeles Clippers on Bally Sports West, having previously worked for the Big Ten Network. James Jackson (15 September 1875 – after 1914) was a footballer who played as a full back or at wing half. Jackson's family emigrated from Scotland to Australia where he was raised and where he began his senior football career while still in his early teens. Australian football was still forming and Jackson played for teams from mining areas such as South New Lambton, before being recorded as playing for both Hamilton and Adamstown Rosebud. He returned to Scotland in 1893, appearing in Junior football and briefly for Rangers before moving to England to join Newcastle United. Two years later he signed for Woolwich Arsenal where he spent six seasons, captaining the club in its inaugural season in the Football League First Division. After a short spell as player-manager of Leyton and five months with West Ham United of the Southern Football League, Southern League, he rejoined Rangers for two seasons. James Kenneth Jackson (born February 1, 1960) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey right winger. He played for the Calgary Flames and the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League between 1982 and 1988. He later coached the Markham Thunder of the Canadian Women's Hockey League. Early life Jackson was born to Ralph (Curly) Kenneth Jackson and Joan Thérèse Melvina Jackson (née Cardinal) in Oshawa, Ontario. He was the third of four children. Jim Jackson (June 1876 – December 18, 1933) was an American blues and hokum singer, songster, and guitarist, whose recordings in the late 1920s were popular and influential on later musicians. Biography Jackson was born in Hernando, Mississippi. The researchers Bob Eagle and Eric LeBlanc date his birth as 1876, but other sources give 1884 or 1890. He was raised on a farm, where he learned to play guitar. Around 1905 he started working as a singer, dancer, and musician in medicine shows and played at dances and parties, often with other local musicians, such as Gus Cannon, Frank Stokes and Robert Wilkins. He soon began travelling with the Rabbit Foot Minstrels, featuring Ma Rainey and Bessie Smith, and other minstrel shows. He also played in clubs on Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee. Jim Jackson (born March 23, 1963) is an American professional sportscaster. He is the TV play-by-play announcer for the Philadelphia Flyers. Jackson formerly did radio play-by-play broadcasting duties for the 4th and 5th innings of Phillies home games.
