Jim Gregory Award
The Jim Gregory Award is awarded annually to the Ontario Hockey League General Manager of the Year. The award is selected by a combination of the league's general managers and a five-member panel of OHL writers, broadcasters and NHL central scouting. Ice Hockey
Ice hockey (or simply hockey in North America) is a team sport played on ice skates, usually on an Ice rink, ice skating rink with Ice hockey rink, lines and markings specific to the sport. 2022–23 OHL Season
The 2022–23 OHL season was the 43rd season of operation (42nd season of play) of the Ontario Hockey League. The league played a 68-game regular season which began on September 29, 2022 and concluded on March 26, 2023. The post-season began on March 30, 2023 and concluded on May 21, 2023. The Peterborough Petes won the J. Ross Robertson Cup and will represent the Ontario Hockey League at the 2023 Memorial Cup, which was hosted by the Kamloops Blazers of the Western Hockey League. Games were played at the Sandman Centre in Kamloops, British Columbia. Preseason On July 12, 2022, the OHL announced the preseason schedule for the 2022–23 season. In total, there will be 51 preseason games beginning on September 2 and concluding on September 25. All OHL teams will play between three and six preseason games. The Canadian Hockey League awards sixteen annual trophies for accomplishments during the regular and at the Memorial Cup to top individuals and teams among its three member leagues. The Memorial Cup is the top award for the championship team at the end-of-season Memorial Cup tournament. A set of five individual awards are given for performance at the tournament. In the regular season, Canadian Hockey League also presents ten annual awards. Kingston Frontenacs
The Kingston Frontenacs are a Canadian major junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League, based in Kingston, Ontario. The Frontenacs play home games at Slush Puppie Place, which opened in 2008. The team's history predates the Ontario Hockey League, to a team known as the Kingston Victorias in 1945. The 2024–25 OHL season was the 45th season of operation (44th season of play) of the Ontario Hockey League. The league played a 68-game regular season which began on September 25, 2024 and concluded on March 23, 2025. The post-season began on March 27, 2025 and concluded on May 15, 2025. The London Knights won the J. Ross Robertson Cup and will represent the Ontario Hockey League at the 2025 Memorial Cup, which will be hosted by the Rimouski Océanic of the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League. North Bay Battalion
The North Bay Battalion are a junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League based in North Bay, Ontario, Canada. The franchise was founded as the Brampton Battalion on December 3, 1996, and began play in 1998. The team relocated to North Bay prior to the 2013–14 OHL season. History Early years, 1998–2013 The Brampton Battalion's inaugural season began in 1998–99, choosing the Battalion name from community suggestions, and was also adopted by the competitive minor hockey program in Brampton. Adam Dennis (born February 8, 1985) is a Canadian-born Italian former professional ice hockey goalie and current general Manager of the Ontario Hockey League's North Bay Battalion. London Knights
The London Knights are a junior ice hockey team from London, Ontario, Canada, playing in the Ontario Hockey League, one of the leagues of the Canadian Hockey League. The Knights started out in 1965 as the London Nationals but changed to their current name in 1968. The Knights have won three Memorial Cup championships. Mark Hunter (ice Hockey)
Mark William Hunter (born November 12, 1962) is a Canadians, Canadian professional ice hockey executive, coach, and former player. He currently is the owner and general manager for the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). Hunter was born in Petrolia, Ontario, but grew up in nearby (13 km) Oil Springs, Ontario, and was one of three brothers, with Dave Hunter, Dave and Dale Hunter, Dale, to play in the NHL. Hunter won the Stanley Cup in 1989 Stanley Cup Finals, 1989 with the Calgary Flames. Hamilton Bulldogs
The Hamilton Bulldogs were a Canadian major junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) that began to play in the 2015–16 season. Based in Hamilton, Ontario, the Bulldogs played home games at FirstOntario Centre. They were purchased by owner Michael Andlauer in March 2015 and relocated to Hamilton after 34 years in Belleville, Ontario, where they were known as the Belleville Bulls, Bulls. The Bulldogs won J.
