Jim Fitzpatrick (born August 28, 1959) is an American actor, producer, screenwriter, and director. He has appeared in over 65 feature films and television series. He also is the founder and president of Five Star Studios (established in 1992) and PacAtlantic Pictures, LLC (established in 2005). Early life Fitzpatrick is from Seminole, Florida. He began acting at age 13 when he appeared in his first school play, ''A Thousand Clowns'', at Seminole High School in Florida. He accepted a football scholarship to Illinois State University, where he was a theater major. While living in Illinois, he became involved with the Steppenwolf Theatre Company, founded by Gary Sinise and John Malkovich. Athletic career Fitzpatrick pursued a career in professional football. He was a member of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the Canadian Football League (CFL) in 1981. Jim Fitzpatrick (born James Fitzpatrick in 1944) is an Irish artist. He is best known for elaborately detailed work inspired by the Irish Celtic artistic tradition. However, his most famous single piece is a two-tone portrait of Che Guevara created in 1968, based on a photo by Alberto Korda. Early life Jim Fitzpatrick was born in December 1944 to James and Elizabeth Fitzpatrick (née O'Connor). His parents had married in the north Dublin suburb of Cabra in June 1943. During a period of childhood sickness, Fitzpatrick read and drew in bed, as well as his mother and great-aunt telling him stories of the Tuatha Dé Danann, Cú Chulainn and Fionn MacCumhaill. He was educated at the Franciscan College Gormanston, County Meath, just north of Dublin. His father was a photo-journalist and he is a grandson of political cartoonist Thomas Fitzpatrick. Jim Fitzpatrick (born April 15, 1959) is an American author, photographer, portrait artist and former athlete in the sport of roller derby. Fitzpatrick, born and raised in San Francisco, California, skated for the San Francisco Bay Bombers, of the International Roller Skating League (IRSL) Roller Derby, the 1977–1987 revival of the sport. Following a number of shoulder separation injuries, he became a league referee. In 1979 one of Fitzpatrick's photographs, which he took of pro wrestler Don Muraco fighting with Dean Ho at the Cow Palace for Roy Shires' wrestling promotion, was published in ''Wrestling World Magazine'' in the Special 1979 Edition. Ring Announcer and writer, Allan Bolte wrote the article entitled "Don Muraco: The Man Fans Love the Hate" which contained Jim's photo that appears on page 47. The Australian Information Service (AIS) was one of a series of Government of Australia, federal government organisations created to promote the image of Australia, in existence between 1940 and 1996. First created in 1940, the Australian News and Information Bureau (ANIB) kept its name but expanded its functions when it was moved into the Department of the Interior in 1950. It was renamed in February 1973 to the Australian Information Service, under which name it created a vast collection of photographs now held in the National Archives of Australia. It was again renamed in 1986, to Promotion Australia, a year later becoming the Australian Overseas Information Service (AOIS). James Fitzpatrick (born 4 April 1952) is a British politician and former firefighter who served as a Member of Parliament (MP) from 1997 to 2019, for Poplar and Canning Town until 2010 and for Poplar and Limehouse until his retirement. He is a member of the Labour Party. Fitzpatrick served as Minister of State for Farming and the Environment at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs during the Brown ministry. In June 2019, he announced that he would not stand for reelection to Parliament. Early life Fitzpatrick was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and educated locally at the Holyrood R.C.
