Jim Banke
Jim Banke is a former aerospace journalist and current owner of MILA Solutions LLC, a media consulting company. Career Banke has written for Florida Today, Space.com and served as director of communications for the Space Foundation and worked as a Space Launch Development Analyst for Science Applications International Corporation, SAIC. He was appointed to the Florida Governor’s Commission on the Future of Aeronautics and Space in 2006 leading to the creation of Space Florida. In 2007, Banke was awarded the NASA Distinguished Public Service Medal for his contributions to the aerospace industry in Florida. Banke also serves on the board of directors of the Air Force Space & Missile Museum Foundation and the National Space Club Florida Committee. ''Florida Today'' is the major daily newspaper serving Brevard County, Florida. Al Neuharth of the Gannett corporation started the paper in 1966, and some of the things he did with this newspaper presaged what he would later do at USA Today. The Space Foundation is an American nonprofit organization whose mission is to advocate for all sectors of the global space industry through space awareness activities, educational programs, and major industry events. It was founded in 1983. Space Florida
Space Florida is the aerospace economic development agency of the State of Florida. The agency was created by consolidating three existing state space entities into a single new organization via the Space Florida Act, enacted in May 2006 by the Florida Legislature. Air Force Space & Missile Museum Foundation
The Cape Canaveral Space Force Museum (formerly the Air Force Space and Missile Museum) is located at Launch Complex 26 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida. It includes artifacts from the early American space program and includes an outdoor area displaying rockets, missiles, and space-related equipment chronicling the space and missile history of the US Air Force, the US Space Force and other military branches. The museum is accessible to the public as a part of the "Cape Canaveral Early Space Tour" offered by the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex four days per week. Free tours were also offered by the former Air Force 45th Space Wing Community Relations office until June 2013. WMMB
WMMB (1240 AM) and WMMV (1350 AM) are commercial radio stations simulcasting a talk radio format. WMMB is licensed to Melbourne, Florida, and WMMV is licensed to Cocoa, Florida. The stations are owned by and the license is held by iHM Licenses, LLC. The radio studios and offices are on South Babcock Street in Melbourne. Both stations are powered at 1,000 watts. Cape Canaveral Air Force Station
Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS) is an installation of the United States Space Force's Space Launch Delta 45, located on Cape Canaveral in Brevard County, Florida. Kennedy Space Center
The John F. Kennedy Space Center (KSC, originally known as the NASA Launch Operations Center), located on Merritt Island, Florida, is one of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) ten field centers. Since December 1968, KSC has been NASA's primary launch center of human spaceflight. Launch operations for the Apollo, Skylab and Space Shuttle programs were carried out from Kennedy Space Center Launch Complex 39 and managed by KSC.
