Jamie Lidell
James Alexander Lidderdale (born 18 September 1973), known professionally as Jamie Lidell, is an English musician, soul singer and podcast host. Lidell was formerly a part of Super Collider. He lives in Nashville, Tennessee, US. Career Lidell is known for layering tracks made with his voice into a microphone and performing the percussion and melody as a sequenced, beatboxing one-man band. Following the release of his 2008 album, '' Jim'', Lidell commented, I want it to be about music, I think every musician does. But I think inevitably it ends up becoming about personality, which is what gives rise to the music, so people want to make sure that they get a bit of both. The more things do well, the more people want to know why it does well. His song "Multiply" was used on the television show ''Grey's Anatomy'', and was also included on its second soundtrack. Paul Bonomo (born November 9, 1969), better known as Snax, is an American musician, singer, songwriter, producer, performer and DJ from the Washington, D.C. area. He is currently based in Berlin, Germany. Snax became well known as a member of electro-pop duo Captain Comatose and subsequently for his solo single "Honeymoon's Over," the remix of which by Konrad Black was an underground club hit in 2007. He has collaborated and toured with several artists including Peaches, Scissor Sisters, Mocky, Jamie Lidell and Joey Arias. Snax is proficient on keyboards and also plays guitar, bass and drums. Brian LeBarton is a musician from Los Angeles, California. LeBarton gained some minor recognition in the 2000s by working for better known artists, including his work as an intern for Beck's Grammy-nominated 2007 self-released single " Timebomb", the score to ''Nacho Libre''. Played drums and bass on Beck's cover of Bob Dylan's " Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat" for the '' War Child: Heroes'' charity album, and was an early member of the Record Club, a project launched for Beck's website in 2010 featuring contributions from Nigel Godrich, MGMT, St. Vincent, The Liars, Thurston Moore and Wilco. Peaches (musician)
Merrill Nisker (born 11 November 1966), better known by her stage name Peaches, is a Canadian electroclash musician and producer. Born in Ontario, Peaches began her musical career in the 1990s as part of a folk music, folk trio, Mermaid Cafe. In 1995, she established a rock band, the Shit. That year she also released her first solo album, ''Fancypants Hoodlum''. After moving to Berlin, Germany, she was signed to the Kitty-Yo label and released her second album, ''The Teaches of Peaches'' (2000). Domenica "Nikka" Costa (born June 4, 1972) is an American singer whose music combines elements of pop, soul, and blues. She also had a career as a child singer starting in the early 1980s. She is the daughter of music producer Don Costa. Early life Nikka Costa was born in Tokyo, Japan to Italian-American parents. She was musically-inspired from childhood, often surrounded by famous and talented artists as she traveled the world with her father, the well-known producer and musician Don Costa. At age five, Nikka recorded a single with Hawaiian singer Don Ho. In early 1981, two Italian producers, Danny B. Jason Charles Beck (born 20 March 1972), professionally known as Chilly Gonzales or just Gonzales, is a Canadian musician, songwriter, and producer. Currently based in Cologne, Germany, he previously lived for several years in Paris and Berlin. Gonzales’ career spans numerous genres. He is known for his rap albums, his collaborations with singer and musician Feist and rapper Drake, his albums of classical piano compositions (including the ''Solo Piano'' trilogy), and for his collaborations with electronic musicians Daft Punk and Boys Noize, the latter of whom he also produces under the moniker Octave Minds. The Independent Albums chart (previously titled Top Independent Albums) ranks the highest-selling independent music albums and extended plays (EPs) in the United States, as compiled by Nielsen SoundScan and published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. It is used to list artists who are not signed to major labels. Rankings are compiled by point-of-purchase sales obtained by Nielsen, and from legal music downloads from a variety of online music stores. The chart began in the week of February 5, 2000.
