The Miss Indiana USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Indiana in the Miss USA pageant and the name of the title held by those representatives. This pageant is currently produced by Crown Moxie, headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. The pageant is currently held in Noblesville, Indiana, Noblesville and has previously been hosted by Anderson, Indiana, Anderson, Michigan City, Indiana, Michigan City, Indianapolis, Carmel, Indiana, Carmel and Fort Wayne, Indiana, Fort Wayne. Nine Miss Indiana USA winners have previously held the Miss Indiana Teen USA title and competed at Miss Teen USA, and three previously competed in other states (Miss Florida Teen USA, Florida, Miss Georgia Teen USA, Georgia and Miss Virginia Teen USA, Virginia). Miss America is an annual competition that is open to women from the United States between the ages of 18 and 28. Originating in 1921 as a "bathing beauty revue", the contest is judged on competition segments with scoring percentages: ''Private Interview'' (30%) – a 10-minute press conference-style interview with a panel of judges, ''On Stage Question'' (10%) – answering a judge's question onstage, ''Talent or HER Story'' (20%) – a performance talent or 90 second speech, ''Health and Fitness'' (20%) – demonstrated physical fitness onstage dressed in athletic wear, and ''Evening Gown'' (20%) – modeling evening-wear onstage. The Miss Kentucky USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Kentucky in the Miss USA pageant. It is currently directed by Proctor Productions and it was formerly directed by Connie Clark Harrison, Miss Kentucky USA 1976. Tara Conner became the first Kentucky delegate to win Miss USA, after being crowned Miss USA 2006. She later finished as fourth runner-up at Miss Universe 2006. Elle Smith later became the second Kentucky delegate to win Miss USA, being crowned Miss USA 2021. Greenwood, Indiana
Greenwood is a city in Johnson County, Indiana, United States. The population was 63,830 at the 2020 Census. Greenwood is located southeast of central Indianapolis between Interstate 65 and Interstate 69. Miss USA 2022 was the 71st Miss USA pageant, held at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada on 3 October 2022. At the end of the event, Elle Smith of Kentucky crowned R'Bonney Gabriel of Texas as Miss USA 2022. This was Texas' tenth Miss USA title and first win in 14 years. At the age of , Gabriel became the oldest Miss USA winner in the pageant's history, surpassing Cheslie Kryst in Miss USA 2019, 2019, who was also 28 when she crowned, and the first titleholder of Filipino-Americans, Filipino descent. Pittsboro, Indiana
Pittsboro is a town in Middle and Brown townships, Hendricks County, Indiana, United States. The population was 3,682 at the 2020 census. History The town of Pittsboro was founded on December 9, 1834, by Simon T. Hadley and Wiliam L. Matlock. The town was named "Pittsborough" in honor of Hadley's home in North Carolina. The spelling was later changed to "Pittsboro". On April 6, 1906, an election was held for incorporation of the town. The result of the election was 83 favorable and 38 opposed. After incorporation came many infrastructure improvements and new services. Sidewalks were laid, street lights installed, and water service begun. In 2008 Pittsboro had a parade for Olympic silver medalist Bridget Sloan. It led to the high school in neighboring Lizton, where she thanked her fans for supporting her.
