Jihad Ayoub
Jihad Khaled Ayoub ( ar, جهاد خالد أيوب; born 30 March 1995) is a professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder or centre-back for Liga 1 club PSS Sleman. Born in Venezuela to Lebanese parents, Ayoub plays for the Lebanon national team. Club career Early career Born in Venezuela, Ayoub played for various youth academies in Venezuela, Argentina and England, as well as the under-21 team of Maltese side Melita. Ayoub joined Lebanese Premier League side Ahed in January 2017, helping them lift the league title in 2016–17. He was sent on a one-year loan to Lebanese Second Division side Shabab Sahel for the 2017–18 season, where they finished in first place and were promoted to the Premier League. Al Ansar Football Club ( ar, نادي الأنصار الرياضي, lit=The Supporters Sporting Club) is a football club based in Tariq El Jdideh, a district in Beirut, Lebanon, that competes in the . Formed in 1951, the club did not win its first Lebanese Premier League until 1988. They went on to set a world record by winning the league 11 seasons in a row. 2021 Lebanese Super Cup
The 2021 Lebanese Super Cup was the 21st Lebanese Super Cup, an annual football match played between the winners of the previous season's Lebanese Premier League and Lebanese FA Cup. As Ansar won both competitions in 2021, their opponents were the 2020–21 league runners-up Nejmeh. The match was played at the Fouad Chehab Stadium on 7 August 2021. Ansar won their sixth title, defeating rivals Nejmeh on penalties, following a 2–2 draw after regular time. The Lebanese Super Cup () is Lebanese football's annual match contested between the champions of the previous Lebanese Premier League season and the holders of the Lebanese FA Cup. If the Lebanese Premier League champions also won the Lebanese FA Cup then the league runners-up provide the opposition. The 2021 FIFA Arab Cup () was the 10th edition of the Arab Cup, the Arab world's national team football tournament; it was the first edition under FIFA's jurisdiction. 2020–21 Lebanese Premier League
The 2020–21 Lebanese Premier League was the 59th season of the Lebanese Premier League, the top Lebanese professional league for association football clubs since its establishment in 1934. The league was initially scheduled to start on 18 September, before being postponed to 3 October as part of preventive measures by the state towards the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the first season to feature a "split" format, in which the season was divided into two phases. In the first phase, each club played against each other once, for a total of 11 matchdays. In the second phase, the league was split into two halves – the "top six" and the "bottom six". Points were carried over from the first phase, and each club played five games within its own half.
