Jiangmen Railway Station
Jiangmen railway station () is a passenger and freight railway station in Jiangmen south road, Xinhui District, Jiangmen, Guangdong, China. It was formerly a freight-only station called ''Jiangmen South'', but has since been renamed and expanded to allow passenger operations. The station is the southern terminus of a branch from the Guangzhou–Zhuhai intercity railway and the eastern terminus of the partially complete Shenzhen–Zhanjiang high-speed railway to Zhanjiang West railway station, Zhanjiang West. When complete, the Shenzhen–Zhanjiang will also provide a link east to Zhongshan and Shenzhen. History This station opened on 29 December 2012 as ''Jiangmen South'' with the freight-only Guangzhou–Zhuhai railway. Xinhui District
Xinhui, alternately romanized as Sunwui and also known as Kuixiang, is an urban district of Jiangmen in Guangdong, China. It grew from a separate city founded at the confluence of the Tan and West Rivers. It has a population of about 735,500, 98% of whom are Han Chinese and many of them speak a dialect of Cantonese as their first language. Xinhui is best known in China for its ''chenpi'', a kind of dried Mandarin orange peel. Geography Xinhui is situated at the confluence of the Tan and West Rivers in the southwestern area of the Pearl River Delta. It borders the South China Sea and adjoins Macao and Hong Kong. Guangzhou–Zhuhai Intercity Railway
Guangzhou–Zhuhai intercity railway or Guangzhu intercity railway () is a dedicated, grade-separated regional railway linking Guangzhou South railway station in Panyu, Guangzhou, Jiangmen railway station in Xinhui, Jiangmen, and Zhuhai Jinwan Airport in Zhuhai, via Shunde, Zhongshan and Jiangmen, in Guangdong province. It is the first line completed in the Pearl River Delta Metropolitan Region intercity railway network. It is operated by China Railway Guangzhou Group. Shenzhen–Zhanjiang High-speed Railway
The Shenzhen–Zhanjiang railway is a high-speed railway across the south of Guangdong province. Currently it runs from Jiangmen to Zhanjiang West. It will link the cities of Shenzhen and Zhanjiang when complete. History Announced as part of the 12th Five Year Plan for 2011–2016, it was projected that construction of this railway would begin. Tenders were called for early in 2013 with construction to begin before the end of that year. Construction officially began on 28 June 2014. The Jiangmen–Maoming section opened on 1 July 2018. Construction of Shenzhen to Jiangmen section started on 9 October 2022. On 4 December, a section of the railway under construction in Shenzhen collapsed following a cave-in, leaving 13 workers missing. Xinhui Railway Station
Xinhui railway station () is an elevated station of Guangzhou–Zhuhai intercity railway Jiangmen Spur Line. It started operation on 7 January 2011. The station is located near Dongjia Village () in Huicheng Street (), Xinhui District, Jiangmen, Guangdong, China. Since it is far away from the current bus terminus in Huicheng, a new bus terminus will be built to serve the passengers. The station started operations in 2011. Xinhui Station was formerly called Jiangmen West Station () when planning.
