Jiang Weixin
Jiang Weixin ( Chinese: 姜伟新; born January 1949) is the former Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Construction of the People's Republic of China (MOHURD). Jiang was born in Fuyu County, Heilongjiang, and graduated from Peking University. He joined the Chinese Communist Party in December 1969. He served in the National Development and Reform Commission for many years. The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development is a ministry of the People's Republic of China which provides housing and regulates the state construction activities in Mainland China. It was formerly known as the Ministry of Construction (). Fuyu () is a county of western Heilongjiang province, China, under the administration of Qiqihar City, the downtown of which is to the southwest. Heilongjiang () formerly romanized as Heilungkiang, is a province in northeast China. The standard one-character abbreviation for the province is (). It was formerly romanized as "Heilungkiang". It is the northernmost and easternmost province of the country and contains China's northernmost point (in Mohe City along the Amur) and easternmost point (at the junction of the Amur and Ussuri rivers). The province is bordered by Jilin to the south and Inner Mongolia to the west.
