Jiang Tao (engineer)
Jiang Tao (born October 1963) is a Chinese engineer who is a professor at Central South University, and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Biography Jiang was born in Suixi (now Huaibei), Anhui, in October 1963. After graduating from Central South University in 1990, he stayed at the university and was promoted to professor in 1991. In 2000, he pursued advanced studies at the University of Utah in the United States. He returned to China in December 2002 and continued to teach at Central South University. Jiang Tao (born 16 April 1970) is a Chinese former amateur boxer. He participated in the 1996 Summer Olympics (Heavyweight - 91 kg division) where he defeated Uganda's Charles Kizza 10–7 before losing to American Nate Jones 4–21 in the quarterfinal. Jiang Tao (Mandarin: 江涛 2 September 1985 – 10 March 2004) was a Chinese footballer who played for Sinchi FC in the S.League. Background Raised in Antu County, Jilin, Jiang Tao played basketball at an early age but always had a predilection to football, later entering the Jilin Institute of Physical Education and becoming one of coach Zhang Yuanqing's favorite players. Competing in the Under-17 National Football Championship with his school, he steered them to a 9th-place finish out of 32 teams. Jiang's father was a government official and his mother ran a grocery. On November 16, 2001, the Jilin Institute of Physical education was visited by a deputation from Sinchi FC to recruit players.
