Jezebelle
Jezebelle is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by Gerry Conway and Don Newton, the character first appeared in ''New Gods'' #12 (July 1977). She is the second female character in the series, after Big Barda. Fictional character biography Jezebelle is a New God from Apokolips and a former student of Granny Goodness. However, she expresses a reluctance to kill, and thus defects to New Genesis during a battle with them. In ''New Gods'' vol. 3 #1 (February 1989), Jezebelle is killed by Necromina. However, she appears alive in ''Seven Soldiers ''Seven Soldiers'' is a 2005–2006 comic book metaseries written by Grant Morrison and published by DC Comics. New Genesis
The New Gods are a fictional extraterrestrial race appearing in the eponymous comic book series published by DC Comics, as well as selected other DC titles. Created and designed by Jack Kirby, they first appeared in February 1971 in ''New Gods'' #1. Publication history Volume 1 (1971) The New Gods are natives of the twin planets of New Genesis and Apokolips. New Genesis is an idyllic planet filled with unspoiled forests, mountains, and rivers and ruled by the benevolent Highfather, while Apokolips is a nightmarish, polluted dystopia filled with machinery and fire pits, ruled by the tyrannical Darkseid. The two planets were once part of the same world, a planet called ''Urgrund'' (German language, German for "primeval ground"), but it was split apart millennia ago after the death of the Old Gods during Ragnarök. Jezebel
Jezebel ()"Jezebel" (US) and was the daughter of Ithobaal I of Tyre, Lebanon, Tyre and the wife of Ahab, Kingdom of Israel (Samaria), King of Israel, according to the Books of Kings, Book of Kings of the Hebrew Bible (1 Kings 16, ).
