Jeugdjournaal
(; "Youth News Programme") is a Dutch television Children's news program, news programme produced by the Dutch public service broadcaster Nederlandse Omroep Stichting, NOS for children. The programme has been on air since 1981. The main evening programme airs at 7:00 pm (Central European Time, CET), running for 20 minutes every night on NPO 3 (formerly Nederland 3). A 5-minute short version also airs on weekdays at 8:45 am. Both programmes are also broadcast on the international satellite Dutch-language television station BVN. The aim of ''Jeugdjournaal'' was to present news that is both of interest to and within the mindset of a younger audience, without shying away from the main national and international news headlines. Because of its use of easy language and simple explanation of current affairs, the broadcasts also attracted a following with adult viewers. Nederlandse Omroep Stichting
The (; NOS or rarely ; ) is one of the broadcasting organisations making up the Dutch public broadcasting system. It has a special statutory obligation to make news and sports programmes for the three Dutch public television channels and the Dutch public radio services. It is funded by the Dutch government. The foundation's remit derives from the Dutch Media Act 2008, which stipulates that the NOS produce regular and frequent programming of a public service nature, including, notably, a full and impartial news service and coverage of parliamentary procedures and debates, as well as reporting on sporting and other national events. The NOS also acts as a technical coordinator for the Dutch public broadcasting system as a whole. In the event of emergencies and/or the breaking of a major news story, it can assume control of the public networks to provide coordinated coverage of events in cooperation with the other members of the systems. NOS Journaal
NOS Journaal is the umbrella name for the news broadcasts of the Dutch public broadcaster NOS on radio and television. The division of the NOS responsible for gathering and broadcasting the news is known as ''NOS Nieuws'', and is based at the Media Park in Hilversum; the NOS also has fully equipped radio and television studios in The Hague, from which political programmes are often produced. History On 5 January 1956, the Nederlandse Televise Stichting (Dutch Television Foundation, the forerunner of the NOS) broadcast the first ''NTS-journaal'' bulletin, created under the influence of Jan-Willem Rengelink. Robert Ten Brink
Robert ten Brink (Amsterdam, 20 October 1955) is a Dutch Television presenter, presenter. He won the Golden ''TeleVizier-Ring'' in 1993 for his television program ''All you need is love''. In 1997, he was chosen as the Netherlands' most popular TV personality. He has been married since 1981 to Roos Cialona, with whom he has five children, all of them are girls. Career In 1979 he began as a disc jockey. In 1981 he began his TV career with the TV quiz ''Cijfers en Letters'' (Numbers and Letters, based on the Des chiffres et des lettres, French television programme). Children's News Program
A children's news program is a type of news program that is specifically aimed at children, usually 6–14 years olds, rather than an adult audience. The programme is usually made by the network's news and current affairs department, rather than the children's department. As the programme is aimed at a much younger audience from ordinary adults focused news programme, there are significant differences in the style and make-up of the programme. These are for example: the programme has news stories that children would be interested in, usually avoiding deep political and business news and more dealing with popular cultures such as music and television. The programme is presented in with much lighter tone, with the language being much simpler and less complex and has graphics and sounds that are much more colourful. NPO Zapp
NPO Zapp is a Dutch children's block from the NPO on NPO 3 that launched as Z@pp on 4 September 2005. Since September 2005, NPO Zappelin has been the name of a block for young children. The @ in the name of the channel was removed on 10 September 2012. On 12 March 2013, the NPO announced that Zapp and Zappelin would be renamed as NPO Zapp and NPO Zappelin. The reason for this change is to make the channels and its programmes more recognizable. The rebranding completed on 19 August 2014. Together with NPO Zappelin it forms a channel called NPO Zappelin Extra, available online and part of bonus packages (cable, satellite and IPTV). Marga Van Praag
Marga van Praag (born 14 September 1946) is a Dutch journalist and television presenter. Van Praag attended the academy of dramatic art in Amsterdam, and worked for VARA television from 1968 onwards. She was the host of the television programs ''Fanclub'' and ''De Jonge Onderzoekers'' (The Young Researchers), and did editing work for the shows ''Twee voor Twaalf'' (Two to Twelve) and ''Hoe bestaat het?'' (freely translated: ''How can it be?''). In 1981, she joined the NOS to work on the children's news programme ''Jeugdjournaal'' (Youth Journal) as a reporter and presenter, later becoming a commentator. She switched to the main ''NOS Journaal'' in 1996 as an anchor and latterly, a features reporter and commentator. Van Praag announced her departure from the NOS in October 2008 and signed off from her final ''NOS Journaal'' report on 7 November 2008. TROS, originally an acronym for Televisie Radio Omroep Stichting ("Television Radio Broadcasting Foundation"), was a Dutch television and radio organisation part of the Dutch public broadcasting system. This broadcasting association was particularly well known for its entertainment programmes, quizzes and focus on Dutch folk music in programmes like and the digital channel TROS Sterren TV. Mathilde Hubertine Maria Francisca "Til" Gardeniers-Berendsen (18 February 1925 – 22 October 2019) was a Dutch politician of the defunct Catholic People's Party (KVP) and later the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA) party and nonprofit director.
