Jette Baagøe
Jette Baagøe (née Svendsen, born 1946) is the director of the Danish Museum of Hunting and Forestry in Hørsholm where she has worked since 1984. She headed the steering group that began work on the nomination of The par force hunting landscape in North Zealand, which was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List on 4 July 2015. Biography Baagøe studied at the University of Copenhagen, graduating in botany, zoology, geology and geography in 1973 with a PhD in botany in 1976. In addition to her museum work, she headed the now defunct Federikborg Cultural Environment Council and has served as a member of the Danish branch of the International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation (CIC). She has written and lectured on par force hunting in Denmark, on the Jægersborg Dyrehave and on how forests were depicted during the Golden Age of Danish Painting. Ringsted
Ringsted is a city located centrally in the Danish island of Zealand. It is the seat of a municipality of the same name. Ringsted is situated approximately from Copenhagen. History Ringsted was the site of ''Sjællands Landsting'' (lit. ''Zealand's county thing'') during the Middle Ages, which in 1584 moved to St. Bendt's church and became known as ''Sjællandsfar Landsting''. In 1805 it moved to Copenhagen and was renamed Østre Landsret, and is still active under this name. In 1131, Canute Lavard was killed in Haraldsted forest, leading to outbreaks of civil war. The church was consecrated in 1170. In front of the church is the spacious town square leading to the shopping streets with shops and boutiques. The town arms goes back to 1421. The Order of the Dannebrog () is a Denmark, Danish order of chivalry instituted in 1671 by Christian V of Denmark, Christian V. Until 1808, membership in the Order was limited to fifty members of noble or royal rank, who formed a single class known as ''White Knights'' to distinguish them from the ''Blue Knights'' who were members of the Order of the Elephant. In 1808, the Order was reformed and divided into four classes. The statute of the Order was amended in 1951 by a Royal Ordinance so that both men and women could be members of the Order.
