Jesús Hernández Hernández (born 27 October 1991) is a Mexican Paralympic swimmer. Career He represented Mexico at the 2016 Summer Paralympics, where he won a bronze medal in the 50 meters backstroke S4 event, and at the 2020 Summer Paralympics, where he won a gold medal in the 150 meters individual medley SM3 event. 2017 World Para Swimming Championships
The 2017 World Para Swimming Championships was the ninth edition of the World Para Swimming Championships, an international swimming competition for athletes with a disability. It was held in Mexico City, Mexico and took place from 2 to 7 December. Around 304 athletes from around 70 different countries competed at the games, with China topping the tables with most gold medals and medals won. The event was held at the Alberca Olímpica Francisco Márquez located in Mexico City. However, due to safety concerns, both Great Britain and Russia withdrew from the rearranged championships. 2023 Parapan American Games
The 2023 Parapan American Games, officially the VII Pan American Games and commonly known as the Santiago 2023 Parapan-Am Games, were an international multi-sport event for athletes with disabilities. It celebrated the tradition of the Parapan American Games as governed by the Americas Paralympic Committee and was held from 17 to 26 November 2023 in Santiago, Chile. Bidding process Two bids were submitted for the 2023 Pan American Games. Santiago, Chile and Buenos Aires, Argentina both submitted bids. On February 1, 2017, the Pan American Sports Organization (now Panam Sports) announced the two cities as the official bids. Buenos Aires withdrew their bid in April 2017 due to not having the necessary finances or logistics to host this event and the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics.
