Jesper Svensson (golfer)
Bo Jesper Svensson (born 14 March 1996) is a Swedish professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. In 2023, he won the B-NL Challenge Trophy on the Challenge Tour and was runner-up at the Investec South African Open Championship. Early life and amateur career Svensson was born in Uppsala, Sweden. As a junior golfer, he won both the Swedish Junior Matchplay Championship at Vasatorp Golf Club, and the Swedish Junior Strokeplay Championship at Sollentuna Golf Club. He represented Sweden at the European Amateur Team Championship in 2017 and 2018, and played in the Duke of York Young Champions Trophy at Royal Aberdeen Golf Club in Scotland, where he finished 13th overall. He placed third at the 2015 Campenato de Castellón in Spain. Svensson played college golf at Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina, between 2015 and 2019. The Fairmont St. Andrews Bay is a 5-star resort hotel situated outside the town of St. Andrews in Fife, Scotland. The hotel is managed by Fairmont Hotels and Resorts and owned by a company led by Great Century. 2022 European Tour
The 2022 European Tour, titled as the 2022 DP World Tour for sponsorship reasons, is the 51st season of golf tournaments since the European Tour officially began in 1972 and the 1st edition of the DP World Tour Rankings. It is the first season of the tour under a title sponsorship agreement with DP World, that was announced in November 2021. Schedule The following table lists official events during the 2022 season. 2021 Challenge Tour
The 2021 Challenge Tour was a series of professional golf tournaments collectively known as the Challenge Tour. The Challenge Tour is Europe's official developmental tour and is organised by the PGA European Tour. It was introduced in 1986 and was originally called the Satellite Tour, before being renamed with its present title in 1990. Similarly to 2020, the season was to begin in February with three tournaments in South Africa co-sanctioned with the Sunshine Tour, but in mid-January the South African swing was postponed to April–May over COVID-19 pandemic concerns. The official schedule announcement was made on 27 January 2021. In April two back-to-back events in Sweden in May were added. Julien Brun
Julien Brun (born 1 April 1992) is a French professional golfer. He has won three times on the Challenge Tour, firstly in 2012 as an amateur, before winning again at the Open de Bretagne and the Empordà Challenge in 2021. Amateur career Brun played college golf at Texas Christian University. In his freshman year (2011–12), he won three events. He also won the opening tournament of the 2012–13 season. In September 2012, Brun won the Allianz Golf Open Toulouse Metropole on the Challenge Tour. He was the sixth amateur to win in Challenge Tour history. In 2015, Brun medaled at one of the qualifying school events for the PGA Tour Canada. Professional career Brun turned professional in mid-2015 after graduating from university. Empordà Challenge
The Empordà Challenge was a golf tournament on the Challenge Tour held at Empordà Golf on the Costa Brava near Girona, Spain. In 2021, together with Challenge Costa Brava, also hosted at Empordà Golf, the tournament served as a replacement for the China Swing with Hainan Open and Foshan Open, which was cancelled. The Made in Denmark Challenge is a golf tournament on the Challenge Tour. It was first played in May 2015 at the Royal Golf Club in Copenhagen, Denmark. Marcus Helligkilde
Marcus Helligkilde (born 5 October 1996) is a Danish professional golfer. In 2021, he won the Vierumäki Finnish Challenge and Swiss Challenge on the Challenge Tour and finished the season as the winner of the Challenge Tour Rankings. Career As an amateur, Helligkilde won the 2015 Turkish Amateur Open Championship and represented Denmark at the 2016 Eisenhower Trophy and the 2017 European Amateur Team Championship. Helligkilde turned professional in late 2017 and joined the 2018 Nordic Golf League (NGL), where he recorded 10 top-10 finishes and secured his maiden professional title at the Ekerum Öland Masters in September. Finnish Challenge
The Finnish Challenge is a golf tournament on the Challenge Tour, Europe's second tier men's professional golf tour. It was first played at Golf Talma in Talma, Finland, from 2001 to 2003, but took a hiatus from 2004 to 2011. The 2012–14 editions of the tournament were played at the Kytäjä Golf Club in Kytäjä, Hyvinkää, Finland. The 2015 tournament was played at Aura Golf Club in Turku.
