Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium is a college basketball arena located in Spartanburg, South Carolina on the campus of Wofford College. It became home of the Wofford Terriers men's and women's basketball teams at the start of the 2017–18 season, replacing Benjamin Johnson Arena. The main basketball arena seats 3,400, and the building also includes a 350-seat volleyball arena. Construction on the facility began in January of 2016. The South Carolina Gamecocks men's basketball team represents the University of South Carolina and competes in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The Wofford Terriers men's basketball team represents Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, United States, in Division I of the NCAA. The school's team competes in the Southern Conference. The Furman Paladins are the varsity athletic teams representing Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, in intercollegiate athletics. Furman competes in NCAA Division I athletics and is one of the smallest NCAA Division I schools in the nation. Wofford College is a private liberal arts college in Spartanburg, South Carolina. It was founded in 1854. The campus is a national arboretum and one of the few four-year institutions in the southeastern United States founded before the American Civil War that still operates on its original campus.
