Jerry Paper
Lucas Nathan (born August 7, 1990), best known by the stage name Jerry Paper, is an American musician, singer, songwriter and producer. They began releasing music in 2009, with their first projects being Zonotope™ and the noise music project Diane Kensington Devotional Band. They subsequently created the persona-based project Jerry Paper, and has been releasing music under the name since 2012. Early life Nathan said that as a child, they were influenced to learn music by the fact that "all heirfriends were making music." They learned how to play " ''The Simpsons'' Theme" on the piano when they were five, played bongos for their school band, and were a drummer. They learned how to play the Misfits song "London Dungeon" on bass guitar (in eighth grade), made psychedelic folk recordings in their bedroom with Sony Acid, and performed in various bands at school. Growing (band)
Growing is a drone music/ambient music/ noise music band formed in Olympia, Washington, and currently based in Brooklyn, New York. The group was founded in 2001 by Kevin Doria (electric bass guitar), Joe Denardo (electric guitar), and Zack Carlson (drums). Carlson left following their first album, and the band continued as a duo until 2009, when they recruited Sadie Laska (samplers, microphone) to form a new trio. The group's music has gradually progressed from slow, instrumental drone pieces through works in noise and ambient music toward more propulsive, rhythm driven music. Their live shows are consistently known for being very loud and for playing straight through their set without breaks or banter between songs. In sound and music, sampling is the reuse of a portion (or sample) of a sound recording in another recording. Samples may comprise elements such as rhythm, melody, speech, sounds or entire bars of music, and may be layered, equalized, sped up or slowed down, repitched, looped, or otherwise manipulated. They are usually integrated using hardware ( samplers) or software such as digital audio workstations. Fuzzy logic is a form of many-valued logic in which the truth value of variables may be any real number between 0 and 1. Krautrock
