Jermuk Municipality, referred to as Jermuk Community ( ''Jermuk Hamaynk'') is an urban community and administrative subdivision of Vayots Dzor Province in southeastern Armenia, consisting of a group of villages and its administrative centre, the town of Jermuk. Settlements Politics Jermuk Municipal Assembly (, ''Jermuki hamaynqapetaran'') is the representative body in Jermuk Municipality, consisting of 15 members who are elected every five years. In the December 2021 election Vahagn Arsenyan of Civil Contract was elected mayor. ''Ruling coalition or party marked in bold.'' A municipality in Armenia referred to as community ( ''hamaynk'', plural: ''hamaynkner''), is an administrative subdivision consisting of a settlement ( ''bnakavayr'') or a group of settlements ( ''bnakavayrer'') that enjoys local self-government. The settlements are classified as either towns ( ''kaghakner'', singular ''kaghak'') or villages ( ''gyugher'', singular ( ''gyugh''). The administrative centre of a community could either be an urban settlement (town) or a rural settlement (village). Two-thirds of the population are now urbanized. As of 2017, 63.6% of Armenians live in urban areas as compared to 36.4% in rural. As of the end of 2017, Armenia has 503 municipal communities (including Yerevan) of which 46 are urban and 457 are rural. The capital, Yerevan, also has the status of a community. Solidarity Party (Armenia)
The Solidarity Party () is an Armenian political party. History The party is led by Sargis Avetisyan and does not maintain any representation within the National Assembly. Currently, the party acts as an extra-parliamentary force. Prior to the 2012 Armenian parliamentary election, the party endorsed the Prosperous Armenia party. Prior to the 2017 Armenian parliamentary elections, the party stated that the Republican Party of Armenia must step aside and admit political defeat, while also stating they would not work with the Way Out Alliance. Sargis Avetisyan participated as a candidate part of the Tsarukyan Alliance, but failed to win a seat in the National Assembly. The party has been critical of Nikol Pashinyan's leadership as Prime Minister, accusing the Prime Minister of being a globalist.
