Jeremy Wolf (artist)
Jeremy Daniel Wolf (; born November 2, 1993) is an American-Israeli baseball player on the Israel national baseball team, Israel National Baseball Team. High school and college Wolf attended Chaparral High School (Arizona), Chaparral High School, where he played on the Firebirds alongside among others future major leaguer and fellow outfielder Dylan Cozens (baseball), Dylan Cozens, as the team won the Division I Arizona state title. He attended college at Trinity University (Texas), Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Communications in 2016. In 2015 Wolf was named a ''Jewish Sports Review'' College Baseball All-American with, among others, first baseman Simon Rosenbaum (baseball), Simon Rosenbaum and designated hitter/pitcher Jake Fishman. Israel National Baseball Team
The Israel National Baseball Team () represents Israel in international competitions. It is managed by Ian Kinsler. At the 2017 WBC, Team Israel came in 6th. In 2022, Israel was ranked 20th in the world. The Israel national baseball team competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics Baseball at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in 2021, where it beat Mexico and finished 5th. Petersburg Generals
The Petersburg Generals were an amateur baseball team in the Coastal Plain League, a collegiate summer baseball league. The team played its home games at the Petersburg Sports Complex in Petersburg, Virginia. The Generals first started participating in the Coastal Plain League in 2000. The Generals made it to the postseason twice: winning two division championships, in 2000 and 2003, and as a wild card team in 2002. They won their lone league championship in 2000. In 2017, while having financial trouble, the acting city manager of Petersburg approved the sale of the team for $100,000. New York–Penn League
The New York–Penn League (NYPL) was a Minor League Baseball league that operated in the northeastern United States from 1939 to 2020. Classified as a Class A Short Season league, its season started in June, after major-league teams signed their amateur draft picks to professional contracts, and ended in early September. In 2019, its last season of operation, the NYPL had 14 teams from eight different states. In addition to New York and Pennsylvania, from which the league drew its name, the NYPL also had clubs in Maryland, Massachusetts, Ohio, Vermont, West Virginia, and Connecticut. Class A Short Season
Class A Short Season (officially Short-Season A) was a level of play in Minor League Baseball in the United States from 1965 through 2020. In the hierarchy of minor league classifications, it was below Triple-A, Double-A, Class A-Advanced (created in 1990), and Class A. Teams in Class A Short Season played about 75 to 80 games per season, compared to the 130- to 140-game seasons of most professional baseball minor leagues. As part of the 2021 reorganization of the minor leagues, Class A Short Season was eliminated along with its two leagues, the New York–Penn League and Northwest League. Brooklyn Cyclones
The Brooklyn Cyclones are a Minor League Baseball team of the South Atlantic League and the High-A affiliate of the New York Mets. They are based in the New York City borough of Brooklyn, and play at Maimonides Park, just off the Coney Island Boardwalk. Brooklyn won six division titles and two NYPL championships. The Appalachian League is a Collegiate summer baseball, collegiate summer baseball league that operates in the Appalachian regions of Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina. Designed for rising freshmen and sophomores using wooden baseball bat, bats, its season runs from June through August. Kingsport Mets
The Kingsport Mets were a Minor League Baseball team of the Appalachian League from 1921 to 2020. They were located in Kingsport, Tennessee, and were last named for the team's major league affiliate, the New York Mets. The team played its home games at Hunter Wright Stadium which opened in 1995. A signing bonus or sign-on bonus is a sum of money paid to a new employee (including a professional sports person) by a company as an incentive to join that company.
