''The Young and the Restless'' is an American CBS soap opera which debuted on March 26, 1973. This is a list of its characters that debuted in 2022, in order of first appearance. Allie Nguyen ( Kelsey Wang), the previously unknown granddaughter of Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), made her first appearance in March, as did Tanya (Julia Montgomery), an estate agent. Investigative reporter Talia Morgan ( Natalie Morales) made her first appearance in August, whilst Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) debuted in September. Jeremy Stark ( James Hyde), a man from Diane Jenkins's (Susan Walters) past, first appeared in October. Additionally, several other characters appeared throughout the year. ''The Young and the Restless'' (often abbreviated as ''Y&R'') is an American television soap opera created by William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell for CBS. The show is set in the fictional Genoa City (named after the real-life Genoa City, Wisconsin). First broadcast on March 26, 1973, ''The Young and the Restless'' was originally broadcast as half-hour episodes, five times a week. The show expanded to one-hour episodes on February 4, 1980. On March 17, 2006, the series began airing previous episodes weeknights on Soapnet until its closure on December 31, 2013, after which the series moved to TVGN (now Pop (American TV channel), Pop). From July 1, 2013 until 2019, Pop aired previous episodes on weeknights. The series is also syndicated internationally. Noah Newman
Noah Newman is a fictional character from ''The Young and the Restless'', an American soap opera on the CBS network. He is the only son of Nicholas Newman and Sharon Collins. Introduced in 1997, the character was first portrayed by several child actors before being rapidly aged. Kevin Schmidt was the first actor to play Noah after being aged, appearing from 2008 to September 2010, when the role was recast with Luke Kleintank before being let go in April 2011 with Schmidt being rehired. The character was introduced on November 13, 2000, as the daughter of Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
