Jeon Kyu-hwan
Jeon Kyu-hwan (, ; born 1965) is a South Korean film director and screenwriter. Besides being the first Korean film to win the 2012 Queer Lion at the 69th Venice International Film Festival, ''The Weight'' (2012) also won various awards at film festivals, including Best Director at the 16th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and Silver Peacock Award for best director at the 43rd International Film Festival of India in 2012. Career Jeon started his career in a talent management company as a manager for actors such as Cho Jae-hyun and Sul Kyung-gu, before making his directorial feature debut with ''Mozart Town'' (2008), followed by ''Animal Town'' (2009) and ''Dance Town'' (2010). The Weight (film)
''The Weight'' () is a 2012 South Korean film about a hunchback mortician and his transgender stepsister. It made its world premiere in the Venice Days sidebar of the 69th Venice International Film Festival, where it won the 2012 Queer Lion, an award for the "best film with a homosexual and queer culture theme." It is the first Korean film to have won the prize. It also won a Special Award at the 2013 Fantasporto Orient Express Awards. Jeon Kyu-hwan was awarded Best Director at the 16th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, and the Silver Peacock award for best director at the International Film Festival of India. Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (BNFF), or PÖFF (Pimedate Ööde filmifestival), is an annual film festival held since 1997 in Tallinn, the capital city of Estonia. Cho Jae-hyun (born June 30, 1965) is a South Korean film, stage, and TV actor. He is commonly dubbed "director Kim Ki-duk's persona" since Cho has starred as leading and supporting characters in a number of films directed by Kim. Early years and education Cho Jae-hyun was born in Gyeongju on June 30, 1965. He and his family lived in a poor neighborhood on the slopes of a hill until his father became successful with his restaurant business in the Jongno area, Seoul. Sul Kyung-gu (; born May 14, 1967) is a South Korean actor.
