Jennifer Holloway
Jennifer Holloway is an American operatic mezzo-soprano and soprano who has made an international career performing at leading opera houses and festivals. She began as a mezzo-soprano singing roles such as Adalgisa in Bellini's ''Norma'', and moved to soprano roles such as ''Salome'' and Grete Graumann in Schreker's ''Der ferne Klang''. Career Holloway was born in Ohio. She studied voice at the University of Georgia and the Manhattan School of Music. In 2005, she won first prize at the Georgia region of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. In 2006, she won Fort Worth Opera's McCammon Competition. Holloway achieved international recognition when she appeared at the Santa Fe Opera in 2006 as Le Prince Charmant in Massenet's ''Cendrillon'' alongside Joyce DiDonato as Cinderella. ''Les Troyens'' (; in English: ''The Trojans'') is a French grand opera in five acts by Hector Berlioz. The libretto was written by Berlioz himself from Virgil's epic poem the ''Aeneid''; the score was composed between 1856 and 1858. English National Opera
English National Opera (ENO) is an opera company based in London, resident at the London Coliseum in St Martin's Lane. It is one of the two principal opera companies in London, along with The Royal Opera. ENO's productions are sung in English. The company's origins were in the late 19th century, when the philanthropist Emma Cons, later assisted by her niece Lilian Baylis, presented theatrical and operatic performances at the Old Vic, for the benefit of local people. Frédéric Chaslin (; born 1963, in Paris) is a French conductor, composer and pianist. He recently joined the prestigious Music publishing house Universal Edition in Vienna. The son of an architect, Chaslin studied at the Conservatoire de Paris, where he won first prizes in harmony, counterpoint, fugue, piano accompaniment, vocal direction, and orchestration. He later studied at the Mozarteum University of Salzburg, where his mentors included Paul von Schilawsky. In 1989, Chaslin became an assistant conductor to Daniel Barenboim at the Orchestre de Paris and at the Bayreuth Festival. In 1991, he held a similar post with Pierre Boulez at the Ensemble Intercontemporain from 1989 to 1991. Ian Koziara is an American operatic tenor who made an international career at major opera houses, such as the Oper Frankfurt and the Metropolitan Opera. Career Born in Chicago, Koziara received a bachelor's degree from Lawrence University Conservatory of Music, and a master's degree from Rice University's Shepherd School of Music.
