Jennifer Cudjoe
Jennifer Cudjoe (born 7 March 1994) is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for DC Power FC in the USL Super League and the Ghana women's national football team, Ghana women's national team. Club career Cudjoe signed a short-term contract with Sky Blue FC for the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup. She made her NWSL debut on 30 June 2020. Cudjoe was selected by Racing Louisville FC in the 2020 NWSL Expansion Draft, but Sky Blue soon acquired her back in a trade. On 23 August 2024, Cudjoe signed for USL Super League team DC Power FC. International career Cudjoe accepted her first Ghana women's national football team, senior team roster selection in July 2023 for the 2024 CAF Women's Olympic qualifying tournament. 2020 Sky Blue FC Season
The 2020 Sky Blue FC season was the team's 11th season as a professional women's soccer team, and their eighth season as a member of the National Women's Soccer League. The season was originally scheduled to begin on March 18, 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the start date was delayed. Preseason matches were cancelled on March 12 and on April 4 it was announced that a moratorium on training would continue through May 5, 2020. On April 24, the NWSL announced the moratorium on training would be extended through May 15. The start date of the season was further shifted to an indeterminate point, with the league promising to "include an appropriate preseason training period" before launching the season. NWSL Playoffs
The National Women's Soccer League playoffs (or NWSL playoffs) are a single-elimination tournament among eight teams in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) of the United States. The final round of the playoffs is the NWSL Championship. Since playoff games cannot end in draws, they are broken by two consecutive 15-minute extra time periods, followed by penalty shoot-outs of best-of-five rounds with additional rounds as required. Format Since the 2024 season, the top eight teams in the final standings at the end of the regular season qualify for the playoffs and are seeded in order of their record. The top-seed hosts the eighth seed and the fourth hosts the fifth in one arm of the quarterfinals bracket, and the runner-up hosts the seventh seed and the third hosts the sixth in the other arm. The NWSL Challenge Cup is an annual supercup competition organized by the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), a division 1 women's league in the United States soccer league system. The current (2025) cup holder is the Washington Spirit, who defeated the Orlando Pride 1-1 (4-2 on penalties) on March 7, 2025. The NWSL Challenge Cup was first announced in 2020 as a one-off, league-wide tournament to mark the league's return to action from the COVID-19 pandemic. Racing Louisville Football Club is an American professional Association football, soccer team based in Louisville, Kentucky, that competes in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL).
