Jennifer Beech
Jennifer Beech is a Canadian television host. In the early 1990s she appeared on YTV (Canadian TV channel), YTV as "PJ Jenn." She left YTV in 1994 to become the host of BBS Master Control which consisted of a line-up of children's programming from Walt Disney Animation Studios. She held that position until 1997 when she left to work on Bravo (Canadian TV network), OLN. Beech studied theatre at the University of Guelph, intending to get into public relations, event marketing, or sports promotion. In 1992, YTV was looking to cast new PJs, the channel's term for Programming Jockeys, meant to parallel the Video Jockeys (VJs) of MuchMusic. Beech wasn't interested, but her mother encouraged her to audition, teaching her four guitar chords, and popular Victorian song "Star of the Evening". YTV (Canadian TV Channel)
YTV (stylized as УTV) is a Television in Canada, Canadian English language Discretionary service, discretionary specialty channel owned by YTV Canada, Inc. a subsidiary of Corus Entertainment. The channel and its programming is targeted at children and young teenagers. Its name was originally thought to be an abbreviation for "Youth Television", though the channel's website has denied this. The channel was launched on September 1, 1988 by owners Rogers Media and CUC Broadcasting upon launch. Will Millar
Will Millar (born 1940) is a Northern Irish-Canadian singer best known as a co-founding member of The Irish Rovers. Until his departure in 1995, he was the group's front man. He plays guitar, banjo, mandolin and tin whistle. Early life and career Born in Ballymena, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Millar and his sister Sandra Beech performed as ''The Millar Kids'' before the family emigrated to Canada in 1953 when Millar was 14. Millar formed a Calypso Band, ''Kalypso Kews'', that performed for two years in Toronto's Yonge Street at the Calypso Club. Sandra Beech
Sandra Beech (born Sandra Millar 1942 Indicated age 48. in Ballymena, Northern Ireland) is an Irish-Canadian children's musician. She was a member of the family music group The Musical Millars after relocating to Canada in 1953. After her 1964 marriage to Len Beech, she specialised in recording children's music. Her brothers Will and George Millar, plus her cousin Joe Millar, were members of The Irish Rovers.
