Jenifer Benítez
Jenifer Benítez Benítez (born 18 October 1988 in Las Palmas) is a Spanish diver. She competed in the 3 m springboard at the 2008 Summer Olympics and the 3 m springboard at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Her debut in the international level came at the 2006 European Junior Swimming Championships. Two years later, she qualified for the 2008 European Swimming Championships and represented Spain at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, on the 3-meter diving board, where she finished last in the preliminary round. In the 2011 World Swimming Championships, she reached her best position at 25th place. At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, she repeated the same position in the preliminary round of the women's 3-metre diving board, with a performance that was hampered by a previous injury. Diving is the sport of jumping or falling into water from a Diving platform, platform or springboard, usually while performing acrobatics. Diving is an internationally recognised sport that is part of the Olympic Games. In addition, unstructured and non-competitive diving is a recreational pastime. Competitors possess many of the same characteristics as gymnastics, gymnasts and dancers, including strength, flexibility, kinaesthetic judgement and air awareness. Diving At The 2008 Summer Olympics – Women's Synchronized 3 Metre Springboard
Women's synchronized 3 metre springboard competition at the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics was held on 10 August at the Beijing National Aquatics Center. As in all other synchronized diving competitions at the Olympics, a single round of competition was held. Eight pairs of divers competed. Each pair performed five dives, with both divers from the pair jumping at the same time. Nine judges evaluated each dive, with two each judging the performance of the two divers (the execution judges) and five judges evaluating the synchronization of the pair (the synchronization judges). For each dive, four of the nine scores are ignored—the highest and lowest execution scores, and the highest and lowest synchronization scores. The remaining five scores are summed, multiplied by the dive's degree of difficulty, and then multiplied by 0.6 to get the final score for the dive. The women's synchronised 3 metre springboard diving competition at the 2012 Olympic Games in London took place on 29 July at the Aquatics Centre within the Olympic Park. The Chinese team of He Zi and Wu Minxia won the gold medal. Format A single round was held, with each team making five dives. Eleven judges scored each dive: three for each diver and five for synchronisation. Only the middle score counted for each diver, with the middle three counting for synchronisation. The 2013 Summer Universiade, officially known as the XXVII Summer Universiade (; ), was held in the city of Kazan, Russia, the most northerly city ever to host a Summer Universiade.
