Jeni Magaña
Jeni Magaña is a Mexican-American multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, experimental musician, and photographer based in Los Angeles, USA. She releases solo music as Magana, and is one-half of the pen pin duo with Emily Moore. Magaña also currently performs and records with Mitski, and has previously worked with Lady Lamb and Laura Cortese & The Dance Cards. Early life Jeni Magaña was born in Bakersfield, California. She relocated to Boston, Massachusetts to study music at Berklee College. Career Multi-Instrumentalist (2007 - present) As a multi-instrumentalist, Magaña has recorded and toured with a range of artists. While earning her degree at Berklee, she contributed double bass to ''The Meanest of Times'', a 2007 studio album by Dropkick Murphys. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United Kingdom, United States and New Zealand in the early to mid-1980s. Dropkick Murphys are an American Celtic punk band formed in Quincy, Massachusetts in 1996. The current lineup consists of co-lead vocalist and bassist Ken Casey, drummer Matt Kelly, co-lead vocalist Al Barr (on hiatus from the band since 2022), rhythm and lead guitarist James Lynch, lead guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Tim Brennan, multi-instrumentalist and rhythm guitarist Jeff DaRosa and bassist Kevin Rheault. Casey has been the band's only constant member since the band formed. Roderick John Hart (born 16 July 1979) is a Scottish singer–songwriter, composer and broadcaster from Glasgow. As a solo artist, he has released three records – ''Bookmarks'', ''Sign Language'' and ''Road of Bones'' – and one EP, ''The Dylan EP'' (with Irish artist Gemma Hayes). Hart also releases albums with his band the Lonesome Fire, the first of which was the self-titled ''Roddy Hart & the Lonesome Fire'' produced by Danton Supple.
