Jemima Nartemle Nartey of Accra, Ghana was 2017 to 2021 Vice-Chair and one of 12 elected volunteer members of the World Scout Committee, the main executive body of the World Organization of the Scout Movement. Bronze Wolf Award
The Bronze Wolf Award is an award presented by the World Organization of the Scout Movement for outstanding service by an individual to the Scout Movement. Just over 400 people have received the Bronze Wolf since its creation in 1935. WOSM has restricted the number of recipients during the award’s history in order to maintain its significance. Currently, the award is limited to approximately one recipient for every two million members worldwide. The award itself consists of a bronze wolf pendant hung on a dark green ribbon bordered by two narrow stripes of yellow. History WOSM first considered an international Scouting award in 1924. The Ghana Scout Association is the national Scouting association of Ghana. Scouting was founded in the British Gold Coast Colony in 1911 and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1960. The association has 3,919 members as of 2011. By 2019, the association has 13,496 members. In 2007, the Chief Scout was President John Agyekum Kufuor. Scouts are involved in many community service projects.
