Ben Jelen
Benjamin Ivan Jelen (born 8 July 1979) is a Scottish-born American former singer-songwriter who plays the piano, violin, and guitar. He has lived in Scotland, England, Texas, New Jersey and New York. His career has been characterized by near-stardom, with his debut album, Give It All Away peaking at No. 113 on the Billboard 200 list. As of 2011, he is on indefinite hiatus from his solo career and is working with a new band, along with former Deuce Project member Josh McMillan known as '' Under The Elephant''. Early life Jelen attended high school in San Antonio, Texas briefly, as a freshman at Northside Health Careers High School. He completed high school at Princeton High School in Princeton, New Jersey and graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in biology. Alois Jelen
Alois Jelen (11 May 1801, Světlá nad Sázavou – 15 October 1857, Prague) was a composer and archivist from the Austrian Empire. He was a Czech nationalist. Biography He displayed musical talent at an early age, so his father, a school teacher, sent him to Prague for his primary education. His first musical lessons were provided by the composer, , at St. Nicholas Church, where Jelen worked as a singer, from the age of nine. He was, however, orphaned at the age of twelve, so he was left to rely on his own personal resources and whatever patronage he could obtain. Jeleen Yatta Ntanye, more commonly known as Jelen, Jeléen, or Bemoim, was a buumi of the Jolof Empire who attempted to take control of the state with help from the Portuguese in the late 15th century. Background Jeleen was a member of the Ndiaye dynasty, the ruling family of the Jolof Empire. Oral sources do not all agree, but he was likely the son of the Buurba Tase Daagulen. Succession disputes were common at the time. The title of Buumi had been created in part to share power and attempt to reduce these conflicts. Rule as Buumi Jeleen ruled over Waalo, near the mouth of the Senegal River. He played an important role in governing the empire, with the Buurba occupied with personal pleasures, and is credited in oral history as the first to establish a system of 'alkaldes' who served as customs agents. Jelen Pivo Live
Jelen Pivo Live was a musical event held in Belgrade, Serbia from 2006 to 2012 in order to promote the Apatin Brewery brand Jelen pivo. The first Jelen Pivo Live was organized as a festival featuring only Serbian rock acts, but the following year beside Serbian bands, foreign acts were also included in the festival lineup. Foreign acts that performed on the festival include Ian Brown, Happy Mondays, Gary Moore, Dinosaur Jr., The Stooges, The Lemonheads, The Fall, Heavy Trash, Echo & the Bunnymen and The Rakes. Eric Jelen (born 11 March 1965) is a former tennis player from Germany, who won one singles (1989, Bristol) and five doubles titles during his professional career. The right-hander Jelen reached his highest singles Association of Tennis Professionals, ATP-ranking on 7 July 1986, when he became World No. 23. Jelen was a member of two Davis Cup-winning teams. Ireneusz Jeleń (; born 9 April 1981) is a retired Polish footballer who played as a right-winger or striker for the Poland national football team. Club career Jeleń was born in Cieszyn. From 2002 to 2006 he played for Wisła Płock in the Ekstraklasa. In four seasons he scored 45 goals in 100 appearances in the Polish top league. On 28 June 2006, Jeleń signed for Auxerre in Ligue 1. Alen Jelen is Slovenian theatre director, radio director, dramaturge, actor in Ljubljana, Slovenia. He is born 1970 in Maribor and lives and works in Ljubljana. Professional career During the 1995-1999 period, he participated with his acting performances in several pieces staged by Slovenian national theater Drama Maribor (SNG Maribor). He was a member of the Drama studio in SNG Maribor. After finishing his secondary schooling, he joined the Academy of Theatre, Radio Film and TV (AGRFT) in Ljubljana, from which he graduated in dramaturgy in 2000.
