Jehu-class Landing Craft
''Jehu''-class landing craft (also referred to as U-700 class) are a class of military transport vessels used by the Finnish Navy. Manufactured by Marine Alutech under the designation Watercat M18 AMC, the boats can perform a multitude of tasks ranging from troop transport and landing operations to patrolling and escort tasks as well as combat and battle support operations. The ''Jehu''-class boats are considerably larger and better armed that the preceding ''Jurmo''-class landing craft. History The new class of landing craft was ordered in October 2012 to supplement the existing ''Uisko'' and ''Jurmo'' classes as part of a project to improve the performance and equipment of the coastal troops. Finnish Navy
The Finnish Navy ( fi, Merivoimat, sv, Marinen) is one of the branches of the Finnish Defence Forces. The navy employs 2,300 people and about 4,300 conscripts are trained each year. The Mark V SOC (Special Operations Craft) was a marine security, patrol, and special forces insertion boat used by the United States Navy and manufactured by VT Halter Marine Inc ( Gulfport, Mississippi). It was introduced into service with the US Navy SEALs in 1995. It was removed from service in 2013. It is commonly referred to as the "Mark V.1 Patrol Boat" in official U.S. Navy documents. CB90-class Fast Assault Craft
Stridsbåt 90 H(alv) (Strb 90 H; CB90) is a class of fast military assault craft used by several countries after being originally developed for the Swedish Navy by Dockstavarvet. Its name means Combat Boat 90 Half; the ''90'' refers to the year of acceptance (1990) and ''Half'' refers to the fact that it can carry and deploy a half platoon of amphibious infantry (18 men) fully equipped. The CB90 is an exceptionally fast and agile boat that can execute extremely sharp turns at high speed, decelerate from top speed to a full stop in 2.5 boat lengths, and adjust both its pitch and roll angle while under way. Patria Pasi
The Patria Pasi (earlier known as the Sisu Pasi) is a Finnish-made six-wheeled armoured personnel carrier (APC) originally designed for Finnish Defence Forces. The first variant was produced in 1983 and serial production began in 1984. It was designed to operate with ease of use, simple structure and low-cost maintenance. The basic appearance and configuration of the Pasi is similar to most other wheeled APCs. The XA-180 and XA-185 are fully amphibious while other variants are not. The Uisko class, also known as the Marine Alutech Watercat M11 landing craft is a type of vessel in use by the Finnish Navy. It is the predecessor of the Jurmo class landing craft. Jurmo-class Landing Craft
The Jurmo-class landing craft is a type of military transport in use by the Finnish Navy. The manufacturer Marine Alutech designates it as Watercat M12. History The Jurmo was the result of modernisation in the Finnish Navy in the late 1990s. It was designed to replace the existing Uisko class landing craft. Its main purpose is landing and transportation operations for the Finnish Coastal Jaegers in all weather conditions. It has good maneuverability and can come to a full stop in only one ship length from top speed. Low draft makes it suitable for amphibious assault even in shallow waters. The Jurmo can transport 3 tons of cargo or 22 men.
