Jeffrey Siow
Jeffrey Siow Chen Siang (; pinyin: ''Xiāo Zhènxiáng'', born ) is a Singaporean politician and former civil servant. A member of the ruling People's Action Party (PAP), he is the Member of Parliament (MP) representing the Brickland ward of Chua Chu Kang Group Representation Constituency (GRC) since 2025. Siow served as a civil servant within multiple government agencies for 24 years. He previously served as principal private secretary (PPS) to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong between 2017 and 2021, and was serving as second permanent secretary at the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) at the time of his resignation. He was the most senior of public servants who stepped down to join politics ahead of the 2025 general election. Johor Bahru–Singapore Rapid Transit System
[ , , , , , ] The Johor Bahru–Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link is an international cross-border rapid transit system that will connect Malaysia's second largest city, Johor Bahru and Woodlands, Singapore, Woodlands, Singapore, crossing the Strait of Johor. Kuala Lumpur–Singapore High-speed Rail
The Kuala Lumpur–Singapore high-speed rail (HSR) is a proposed railway project to link Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Singapore via a high-speed rail line. It was first proposed by then Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak in September 2010. Singapore’s former Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong formally agreed to the joint project in February 2013, with the HSR originally expected to be completed by the year of 2026. The 2018 Malaysian general election resulted in the defeat of Najib Razak, with his successor Mahathir Mohamad initially announcing that the project would be scrapped. The Bus Contracting Model (BCM), formerly known as the Government Contracting Model, is a contracting model introduced by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) in 2014 for public buses in Singapore, implemented in 2016.
