Jeffery Boulevard
Jeffery Boulevard, called Jeffery Avenue from its south end to 95th Street and Jeffery Drive from 67th Street to its north end, is a north-south street on the South Side of Chicago. It runs from Van Vlissingen Road to Marquette Drive and Lake Shore Drive ( U.S. Route 41) in Chicago. On its route, it intersects 95th Street (U.S. Routes 12 and 20). It also has an onramp onto the eastbound Chicago Skyway (Interstate 90) via Anthony Avenue. Just under a half-mile from its south end at Van Vlissingen Road, Jeffery Avenue as it is then called intersects 95th Street. Just south of 84th Street, it can be used to access the eastbound Chicago Skyway via Anthony Avenue. Continuing north, the road intersects 67th Street and enters Jackson Park. It also changes names from Jeffery Boulevard to Jeffery Drive here. One eighth of a mile further north, it ends at Marquette Drive. Lake Shore Drive
Lake Shore Drive (officially Jean Baptiste Pointe du Sable Lake Shore Drive, and called DuSable Lake Shore Drive, The Outer Drive, The Drive, or LSD) is a multilevel expressway that runs alongside the shoreline of Lake Michigan, and adjacent to parkland and beaches, in Chicago. Except for the portion north of Foster Avenue (5200 North), Lake Shore Drive is designated as part of U.S. Highway 41. Previously, from the Chicago River south to 57th Street, it was named Leif Ericson Drive in 1927, for Norse explorer Leif Ericson. The roadway was also nicknamed Field Boulevard. The entire road was renamed Lake Shore Drive in 1946, and its scenic views of the waterfront, beaches, parks, towers and high-rises have become symbolic of Chicago. The South Side is an area of Chicago, Illinois, U.S. It lies south of the city's Loop area in the downtown. Geographically, it is the largest of the three sides of the city that radiate from downtown, with the other two being the north and west sides. Much of the South Side came from the city's annexation of townships such as Hyde Park. The city's Sides have historically been divided by the Chicago River and its branches. Chicago Skyway
Interstate 90 (I-90) in the US state of Illinois runs roughly northwest-to-southeast through the northern part of the state. From the Wisconsin state line at South Beloit, it heads south to Rockford before heading east-southeast to the Indiana state line at Chicago. Jackson Park (Chicago)
Jackson Park is a park located on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois. It was originally designed in 1871 by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, then greatly remodeled in 1893 to serve as the site of the World's Columbian Exposition, leaving it as one of the largest and most historically significant parks in the city. A number of features attest to the legacy of the fair, including a Japanese garden, the Statue of ''The'' ''Republic'', and the Museum of Science and Industry. As part of the Woodlawn community area, it extends along Lake Michigan and borders onto the neighborhoods of Hyde Park and South Shore.
