Jeff Watson (journalist)
Jeffrey Watson (1942 – 22 February 2023) was a British-born Australian journalist, author and documentary film maker. Watson is perhaps best known for his work on science programs ''Towards 2000'' and ''Beyond 2000'' as well as travel shows ''Holiday'' and '' Getaway''. He also had an interest in aviation, producing numerous documentaries on the subject. Early life Watson was born in late 1942 at Castle Bromwich, near Birmingham in England. His father owned a small factory which made small parts for the Spitfire. Watson's ambitions of becoming a pilot were quashed when he suffered a detached retina after he was injured when a snowball containing a rock was thrown at him during his childhood. Turning to a career in journalism, Watson commenced working at ''Berrow's Worcester Journal''. Castle Bromwich
Castle Bromwich () is a large suburban village situated within the Metropolitan Borough of Solihull in the English county of the West Midlands. It is bordered by the rest of the borough to the south east; also Sutton Coldfield to the east and north east, Shard End to the south west, Castle Vale, Erdington and Minworth to the north and Hodge Hill to the west – all areas of the City of Birmingham. It constitutes a civil parish, which had a population of 11,857 according to the 2001 census, falling to 11,217 at the 2011 census. ''60 Minutes'' is an Australian version of the United States television newsmagazine show ''60 Minutes,'' airing since 1979 on Sunday nights on the Nine Network. The Boeing 707 is an American, long-range, narrow-body airliner, the first jetliner developed and produced by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Frederick Sidney Cotton OBE (17 June 1894 – 13 February 1969) was an Australian inventor, photographer and aviation and photography pioneer, responsible for developing and promoting an early colour film process, and largely responsible for the development of photographic reconnaissance before and during World War II. Clive Robertson (broadcaster)
Clive Robertson (born 28 December 1945) is an Australian radio and television personality in Sydney who has been heard on both the AM and FM bands for over forty years. Early life Robertson was born in Katoomba, New South Wales, in 1945. He left school at the age of 16 to begin work on a farm (including his beloved "Massey-Harris tractor"), going on to work for his father (a lawyer), later doing court work, and then moving on to become an electrical apprentice as well as running wires for the Postmaster-General's Department.
