Jeff Smith (American Racing Driver)
Jeff Smith (born August 20, 1963) is an American professional stock car racing driver who competes part-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 49 Ford Motor Company, Ford for Brad Smith Motorsports. He is the older brother of current ARCA Menards Series driver Brad Smith (racing driver), Brad Smith. Racing career Smith ran one ARCA Permatex SuperCar Series race at Flat Rock Speedway driving for his brother's team in the No. 67 Chrysler, where he would finish 28th and last due to engine issues. Since 1988, Smith has worked as a crew member and crew chief for Brad Smith (racing driver), his brother and Brad Smith Motorsports, his team. The ARCA Menards Series East (formerly Busch East Series, Busch North Series, Camping World East Series, and NASCAR K&N Pro Series East) is a regional stock car racing series owned and operated by the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) and the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR). Races are held at oval tracks ranging from in length and on two road courses, in length. Stewart-Warner was an American manufacturer of vehicle instruments (a.k.a. gauges and lubricating equipment) and many other products. History The company was founded as Stewart & Clark Company in 1905 by John K. Stewart. Their speedometers were used in the Ford Model T. In 1912 John Stewart joined with Edgar Bassick to make vehicle instruments and horns. Bassick owned Alemite Co. and Stewart had bought the Warner Instrument Company; thus the name was changed to the Stewart-Warner Corporation.
