Jeff Rohlicek
Jeffrey Rohlicek (born January 27, 1966) is an American former professional ice hockey center who played nine games in the National Hockey League for the Vancouver Canucks. Biography Rohlicek was born in Park Ridge, Illinois. As a youth, he played in the 1979 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with the Chicago Hawks minor ice hockey team. In the 1985 World Juniors in Finland, Rohlicek had 2 assists, helping the US to a 6th-place finish, as Canada won its 2nd Gold Medal. Penalty (ice Hockey)
A penalty in ice hockey is a punishment for an infringement of the rules. Most penalties are enforced by sending the offending player to a penalty box for a set number of minutes. During the penalty the player may not participate in play. Penalties are called and enforced by the Official (ice hockey)#Referees, referee, or in some cases, the Official (ice hockey)#Linesmen, linesman. The offending team may not replace the player on the ice (although there are some exceptions, such as fighting), leaving them short handed, short-handed as opposed to full strength. 1987–88 NHL Season
The 1987–88 NHL season was the 71st season of the National Hockey League. It was an 80-game season with the top four teams in each division advancing to the Stanley Cup playoffs. The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league in North America that serves as the primary developmental league of the National Hockey League (NHL). Fredericton Express
The Fredericton Express were a professional ice hockey team based in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. They played in the American Hockey League between 1981 and 1988. The Express were affiliated with the Quebec Nordiques and Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League. Home games were played at the Aitken Centre on the University of New Brunswick campus. Kelowna Wings
The Kelowna Wings were a junior ice hockey team based in Kelowna, British Columbia that played in the Western Hockey League from 1982 to 1985. The Wings were abysmal in their three-year tenure, winning just 56 out of 216 games played. The franchise relocated to Spokane, Washington following the 1984–85 season and became the Spokane Chiefs. 1984–85 WHL Season
The 1984–85 WHL season was the 19th season of the Western Hockey League (WHL), featuring fourteen teams and a 72-game regular season. In their third season since joining the WHL, the Prince Albert Raiders put together a dominant run, winning 58 games and the Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy for best regular season record. In the playoffs, the Raiders won the Ed Chynoweth Cup, President's Cup, defeating the Kamloops Blazers in the championship series.
