Jeff Probyn
Jeff Probyn (born 27 April 1956 in Bethnal Green, London) is an English former Rugby Union player. The Old Albanian, Streatham and Wasps prop was selected in England's squad for the 1987 Rugby World Cup, but Probyn did not make his international debut until 1988, at the age of 31, against France. Probyn played in the 1991 Rugby World Cup where along with Brian Moore and Jason Leonard he was part of a destructive English front row as they reached the final, losing a tight match 12–6 to Australia at Twickenham. Along with Stuart Barnes, Wade Dooley, Mike Teague, Peter Winterbottom and Jon Webb, Probyn wore the England shirt for the last time in a 17–3 defeat by Ireland at Lansdowne Road in 1993. In total, he won 37 caps for England and scored 3 tries. In addition, Probyn toured South Africa with a World XV in 1989, played for the Lions against France in 1989 and was a member of the Wasps FC side that won the English Courage league in 1990. Bethnal Green is an area in London, England, and is located in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. It is in east London and part of the East End of London, East End. Wooden Spoon is the children’s charity of rugby. It supports children and young people with disabilities or living in disadvantage in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Since 1983, Wooden Spoon has committed more than £29 million to more than 1,300 projects, supporting over 1.4 million disabled and disadvantaged children and young people. History Wooden Spoon was founded in 1983 after five England rugby supporters went to Dublin to watch England in the final game of the Five Nations Championship against the Irish. The game was lost 25–15 and England finished last in the table with just a single point gained from their draw against Wales. Paul Anthony George Rendall (18 February 1954 – 13 June 2023) was an English rugby union player. He played at loosehead prop. Nicknamed "the Judge", Rendall played for London Wasps. Rendall earned 28 caps for England, from 1984, when he was already 30 years old, to 1991. He played in the Five Nations Championship for six seasons, in 1984, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989 and 1990.
