Jeff Green (writer)
Jeffrey Green (born October 12, 1961) is an American writer and video game journalist, and the last editor-in-chief of '' Games for Windows: The Official Magazine.'' In November 2013, Jeff left PopCap Games, where he served as a director of editorial and social media. He was employed by the ''Sims'' division of developer Electronic Arts, where he served as a designer, producer, and writer. Green kept his job at Ziff Davis after the closing of ''GFW'' for several months before announcing his departure from the company. While an employee at Ziff Davis, Green hosted the weekly ''CGW Radio'' podcast (which later became ''GFW Radio'') and hosted ''The Official EA Podcast''. Early career Green graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in English. It offers video game news, coverage of industry events, interviews with gaming figures, editorial content and product reviews. History The magazine was founded in 1988 as U.S. National Video Game Team's ''Electronic Gaming Monthly'' under Sendai Publications. In 1994, ''EGM'' spun off '' EGM²'', which focused on expanded cheats and tricks (i.e., with maps and guides). It eventually became '' Expert Gamer'' and finally the defunct '' GameNOW''. Gamescom (stylized as ''gamescom'') is a trade fair for video games held annually at the Koelnmesse in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Gamescom is the world's largest gaming event, with 370,000 visitors and 1,037 exhibitors from 56 countries attending the event in 2018. The event is used by many video game developers to exhibit upcoming games and game-related hardware. MySims Agents
''MySims Agents'' is a 2009 mystery life simulation video game published by Electronic Arts. The fifth instalment in the ''MySims'' series, it was released in Europe on September 25, 2009, and in Australia on October 5, 2009 for both the Nintendo DS and the Wii. It was slated for release on June 16 in North America for both consoles, but was instead released on September 29. In the Wii version, the player is tasked with solving several cases which help the player determine the evil plot of the game's antagonist, while unlocking additional features which are essential to completing the game. For the DS version, the player has to take part in several minigames and interact with various townspeople to find a thief who attempts to steal a secret treasure. A user can have up to 100 blogs or websites per account. Blogger enabled users to publish blogs and websites to their own web hosting server via FTP until May 1, 2010. It was active from 2004 to 2015, acting as the primary video game blog for the group, and operating alongside ''Engadget'' and sister blogs such as ''Massively''. From 2007 it hosted ''The Joystiq Podcast'', which was hosted by editor-in-chief Chris Grant, reviews editor Justin McElroy and Ludwig Kietzmann. The website's staff also included Justin's brother Griffin McElroy as weekend editor. The original podcast was discontinued in 2011, but similar shows continued for the remainder of the site's lifetime in various formats. Rodvik Humble (born June 1, 1966) is a British video game designer. He is the former chief executive officer of ''Second Life'' developer Linden Lab, Chief Creative Officer at ToyTalk, and former executive vice president for the EA Play label of the video game company Electronic Arts.
